So I'll spare the details because its complicated but I'm gonna be upgrading from a 2DS to the New 3DS XL except I'm not gonna be able to sit down in a room and transfer the data from one to another. is there any way I can move the data onto the NDS (Thats what I'm used to calling the New 3DS because Nintendo doesnt know how to market stuff) from my 2DS without having them at the same time? Can I download my data from the eShop? I dont mind losing my saves because I was already planning on doing replays on just about all my games, but I bought Shovel Knight. Would I at least be able to keep that game?

Any system transfers need both systems to complete

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

You can backup your SD card on your computer then dump that onto the new SD card. Supposedly that copies everything across?

everyone needs to relax and enjoy the games that are released today and stop worrying what Nintendo will do in a year or two from now.

Nope, doesn't work like that. You need to use the system transfer tool on the 3DS.
