Alright time for some of my opinions which will probably get me flamed. Mega-Blastoise was ruined for me because of the chin that's the only part I did not like everything else was cool but that chin just irks me in a way I can't describe. Mega-Venasaur I felt like the flower on the forehead seemed unnecessary, it feels like when you add too much design too something it's just not good, if only that flower was removed. Mega-Charizard I like it but the face doesn't look like Charizard anymore Venasaur and Blastoise's faces look normal but somehow charizard looks different can't put my finger on it any ideas what it might be?
EDIT: We also know what's going to happen to Ash's Charizard now.
In my opinion....
Mega-Charizard looks like a version of Charizard with more Dragon in his genes.
Mega-Venasaur looks alright but Gamefreak should give him a black and green coating.
Mega-Blastoise looks like a tank....fused with a water based turtle XD
I really like mega blastoise and charizard... Venusaur on the other hand... That flower they added draws too much attention, and it ends up looking like a common venusaur with a silly hat.
It doesn't look like a llama to me. Or a goat. It reminds me of Absol with the dark face and white fur. I'm not saying it's related to Absol, just kind of reminds me of him.
I honestly don't see the resemblance to Absol like everyone else. It just looks like a llama to me... lol.
i was breaking down the new pokemon into features. a few things stood out. feel free do disagree. first the hair is spiky and it seems to have a beak intead of a mouth so maybe instead of spiky hair it's feathers. it has 4 legs aswell. now i don't know about ears if they're ears, and the long neck but i thought that maybe it's a baby griffon. i'll have to do a bit more research but that could be what we're looking at and if we are then we're getting a full size griffon
EDIT: Although I've done research and it turns out it's not a baby griffin. It's so weird and that's what makes it so cool
Question: Do you guys remember the trainers' names? Odds are I'm gonna use the female trainer and give her whatever name she has. I usually go with the male trainer and use my name but this is the worst male trainer ever well I don't like him I mean.

Mega Venusaur: I like him. He looks more like he Belongs in his tree. The extra flower is a bit much though. Mega Charizard He looks more like a pterodactyl than before, but his fingers shrunk. And those fins don't look so great either. Mega Blastoise He looks a bit overkill. Also there's too much emphasis on his cannons.

I'm not going to use Mega evolutions. I just don't care that much about them. I'm just really excited about being able to get the Kanto starters. I miss Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur. Man once these games out, they are going to take over my life lol. So who is getting the limited consoles? And what color? I'm getting the red one because I've had enough of blue.

i'm with you i'm not that into the mega evolutions. i think if they used the mega evolutions as evolutions (preveloution for kangaskhan) and maybe just have the mega evolutions for stage 2 pokemon. that would be better. like absol would evolve, lucario would evolve and charizard would mega evolve. it has become too much like armour digivolving. the item, the tempory power up and appearance change and now the device on the wrist ugh
I'm perfectly fine with Mega Evolutions. I've never played (or even really know much about about) Digimon, so I can't make the comparison between the two. And my assumption will be: Pokémon will do it better than Digimon.
Since Torchic will be distributed via Mystery gift to everyone in X and Y. I say, bye-bye Charizard. :/ .
I'm going to pick up either Froakie/Chespin and Squirtle/Bulbasaur.

...my starter combination will be Froakie and Bulbasaur, because then, with the free Torchic, I'll have one water, one grass, and one fire starter Pokémon.
