Gotta love how a janitor makes you clean a mall because you walked on a floor he just cleaned and how do you clean it? By picking up trash which is implied to be Pokémon poop, putting it in your pocket and feeding it to Grimer. At least I got a TM out of it.
Meowpheel has discovered a new shiny chaining method, wonder trade.
@Tsurii That's great cause before if pokerus was in your party and your 3ds hit midnight it was cured. You could literally infect something and it be gone in a minute.
Just keep stuff in the PC box, its more forgiving this gen if that's true.
@Meowpheel I was expecting to encounter the Aether Foundation more than just once before the revealing of Aether as the evil team, and also to have another base apart from the Paradise to attack (like how Team Flare had 2 bases in XY, but with more game in-between than XY had). And Ultra Space was a lot smaller than I anticipated.
@shaneoh I liked Team Skull. They were the complete opposite of Team Flare (the worst evil team BY FAR). And while I agree that the trials were boring (gyms would have been much better), I actually did like the Rotom Pokedex. It was quite funny in my opinion.

@Tsurii I know, all i wanted to do was trade something random so i could add you to my VIP list cuz it wasn't letting me... but after that trade it worked ... working on dex right now... might need help evo some time

While the perfect word to describe Team Skull can't be used on this site, I will say that it's a bit of slang that rhymes with jobsight. Flare, at least, was more than a bunch of whiny brats. Rotom can get out of my face, I want to see the map. I don't need a status update every time my objective changes (which is about every five minutes with how small the world was).
Is it just my luck, or does Turtonator never call for help, and when he does never gets it? I'm trying to S.O.S. chain for a shiny ome and he's making it so annoying.
The best explanation for it I can think of is that Turtonator has no friends.
After going into a 100+ chain for a shiny Grubbin and not getting one, I figured it'd be best to get the shiny charm before trying more of that stuff. I heard you just need the 300 some Pokemon currently in the game to get it this time.
Breeding for shinies was never (and may never be) my thing...too much running around in circles and too much box/party management.
@Nintendoer I believe each Pokemon has a different SOS rate, and (as I imagine you know) the SOS rate increases the less hp they have. Like Oranguru will not. stop. calling for help. At least that's been my experience.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
@MasterWario if you don't want to flood your box with failed eggs, you can just save before getting the first one... Hatch five.... Reset if no shiny.
This game makes it easier to manage breeding many eggs though, since you can add the egg to your team even if it's full.
For easy hatching, just trap Tauros inside the small fence directly below the day care and slowly run in circles. Keep a magby/similar in your team to speed up the process.
@Tsurii Well I did some math on it, and a BIG if I did my Math right, after 350 attempts at 1/512 chance you only have ~50% chance of getting a shiny. After 1175 attempts, you still have a 10% chance to not get one. It's kind of ridiculous to think about, but it makes sense.
For funzies I also just plugged in 1/4000...it takes 2750 attempts just to get to ~50%. You would think it's 2000...but it's not.
@Meowpheel Huh. Resetting the game never occurred to me, at all. Good to know, thanks! I guess that's how I'll be getting my Minior shiny, if I ever decide to get one. About the last point, I guess I was too annoyed by previous games not letting you take the egg with a full party to even try it once in Sun/Moon, ha ha.

@Meowpheel Poke pelago is like, one of the best new additions ever! Finally we have a Pokemon game where we can grow berries without having to water them or pick them before they wilt! This is the first Pokemon game I've ever had more than 100 of one type of berry! It's especially nice to be able to have a zillion Leppa Berries since you can't buy Elixirs (at least as far as I'm aware)!
So, do eggs not get "over-exhausted" like Pokemon do?

Yeah, it's rather useful. The training island has been specially useful to complete the Pokédex. I just need to bean it up and reset the groups every day or so.
I haven't really tried leaving eggs more than intended, but they "wait" for you before they hatch, so I don't think they can overheat.
The problem with resetting your game is it takes much longer to do rather than just releasing the pokemon and just picking 5 more up.
What i'd recommend doing is have 1 empty PC box, and just keep picking up eggs to fill up your party, pick up more eggs to go in your box, and when your box is full of eggs as you're hatching the ones in your party, then just hatch all the ones in your box without picking up more. Its productive while not being too overwhelming and managable.
And say your first egg in your box is shiny and you have about 20 more to hatch, use the pokepalego thing to hatch them unless you want to manually do it.
