@Meowpheel "I wasn't even planing to get one, but Muk completely overtook Persian in my team; Grimer was way cuter, and stronger. My character is even wearing the sludge line of clothes, so you could say Muk is my "main"."

That moment when you discover muk is the soulmate you've been looking for....
Seriously though, your team sounds quite varied, and it's always great to discover a strong pokemon that you weren't considering before.

@Haru17 Ironically in ORAS Kyogre and Groudon had their catched rate dropped from 5 to 3. Despite being far more powerful in ORAS (Screw Primal groudon). Zekrom/Reshiram and Dialga/Palkia had theirs dropped from 45 to 3.

@Tsurii Zygarde 10% is based on speed. Did you find any of the 5 Zygarde Cores? If so use the Zygarde Cube on Zygarde and you can teach Dragon Dance/ExtremeSpeed/Thousand Arrows/Thousand Waves/Core Enforcer to any form of Zygarde at anytime.

And while it is post game only and you cant seperate it to reshuffle IVs once you combine all 100 cells (So i spent a while reshuffling 50 to get good stats, then seperated the other 50 and added them to the good Zygarde), I can say Perfect Zygarde sits and laughs. Im actually happy mine is only lacking in Defense. Means itll active Power Construct easily and with Max HP, Perfect Zygarde is faaaaaat

My team:
(Not listing types as dual elements)
Ninetales: against DRA/GRS primarily
Salazzle: against STL/FRY primarily
Deciudeye: against GHO/RCK primarily
Poliwraith: against DRK and cover for team
Dugtrio: Primarily against Muk and cover for team
Raichu: Primarily for WTR/FLY

A few have overlaps by design should one fail to KO its intended type disadvantage opponent. My weaknesses would be the single coverage provided by raichu and dugtrio. Rest of the team wouldn't pick up the slack if they fell.

@Tsurii Core Enforcer is a good move for keeping your team going. If you move after the opponent you hit, it removes their ability.

Ive found that has great utility. Loking at you Bewear.

We kind of saw Gengar do this in the early anime by removing Ash's soul from his body.

So I just got the following and lost my mind, as I haven't found a Shiny since Platinum.

Shiny Sandshrew
With it's Hidden Ability Slush Rush
Neutral nature
Max IVs in HP, Attack, Sp. Attack and Speed.

I'm giddy.

Mimikyu92

My team is the same as when I first posted about my team thoughts. I have Primarina, Toucannon, Lyconroc (midnight), Snorlax, Mimikyu, and Umbreon. I find Toucannon's resting anger face, hilarious. Mimikyu has definitely saved me from defeat on many occasions because of his ability

i am having a hard time with beating totem mimikyu that I had to quit and go back and raise up my team before I go back and try to beat him again. My team for Sun is Pikachu, Decidueye, Salandit, Sandygast, Alolan Graveler, and Fearow. My team for Moon is Primarina, Charjabug, Steenee, Ariados, Salandit female, and Stufful but I am only at Malie garden right now.
I finally got the collectors edition guide book for this game today. It really is full of information for this game. Even has a full section on moves, abilities and other stuff. Definitely will be using it when I get stuck.

Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword

Hah, my newly caught Mimikyu went from 0 affection to max in just two rainbow beans.

Snorlax was put in the benches for now. Let's see how this Mimikyu thing goes. I think I'll turn the exp share off while I train her. Don't want everyone to be level 50 by the time she's level 40.

I have to admit that trial was much sillier than I expected it to be.

I was all serious like "I must memorize their positions" and all.

@Meowpheel My issue was it was when sank in that this was all trials were. Do a thing, battle a type specific Pokémon, do the thing again but a little harder, battle a type specific Pokémon, repeat.

I don't know why, at all, why I find that as dull as possible. It's weird. It has charm, yes, but functionally, gyms felt more engaging albeit longer. Iunno how I feel about trials, but they cant pull trials again.

i like the trials. they are not all the same and some of those totem pokemon are really hard to beat. These will definitely be my games of the year, tied with Dragon Quest 7.

I'm also really liking the trails so far. I may just be saying that because they effectively replace gyms after having those for 6 generations, and yet they feel different enough to me and I've been enjoying the change of pace. Also like the Totem Pokémon because it feels like a more traditional boss battle.

Just got on the 3rd Island though, haven't seen everything yet...

@FriedSquid Absolutely. Watch your hold items fill up with Mega Stones, hold items, repels, escape ropes, balls...

I miss having Poke Balls in their own pocket really. It's what Free Space is for. Put your OCD to use. I use it for Balls, Repels and Mega Stones.

@Pokefanmum82 @DreamyViridi Trials are fine, but you have to come to understand something. Unlike gyms, they aren't universal. THey are so largely ingrained into what Alola is, that unlike Gyms, that partly stuck around due to being universal, they can only really be in Alola.

I expect a replacement for trials with a new region. Though I do like one idea I heard. Have Gyms be a real challenge, optional of course, for that side of you that wants to really test your skills for rewards, and give something cool if you do get all 8 badges. Like how Contests were a side thing in Hoenn as you went on your journey.

But Trials as they are, can't really exist outside of Alola, at least in context. In terms of game design, outside of the fetch quest/photo fetch quest/weird memory game third of the trials, they are interchangeable with gyms.

I'm just glad Junichi Masuda isn't directing the series anymore. Ohmori is such a needed breath of fresh air. Megas out, Z-Moves in, make everything viable. No more HMs, an interesting Battle facility for post game.

Seriously, how did Masuda think people wouldn't like the Battle Frontier? Yeah, casuals wouldn't, but they also pretty much don't care about the Battle Maison either. If they wouldn't like the Battle Tower (Which is 1/7 facilities in the Frontier) then they wouldn't like the Maison, only the Maison doesn't come with 6 other battle themed/puzzle themed facilities to /CHOOSE/ from. Casuals wouldn't care about the Frontier, but hardcore and casuals don't care about the Maison. Do the math Masuda.

Just finished off the Elite Four doing the post game stuff finishing off the dex and collecting anything i missed. Got surprised by some battles at the school wasn't expecting level 55 pokemon and the story got surprisingly dark towards the end.

Still got a masterball to use not sure which Ultra or Guardian to use it on got Lunala and Tapu Koko so far probably going to save it for Necrozma
