@BLP_Software Yeah, get what you mean though. Just looked through the other mons, and there's a couple of them exclusive to shaking grass and special fishing spots. Or some have just low encounter ratios in general (1%-5% and limited to one area for example).
Solid generation without a doubt. Everything about it was flawless, I got a bit annoyed by lillie later on as she was stapled to you so much, but I can accept it. Story and plot were solid and perfectly balanced (except mimikyu is BS... how is this thing even fair in general..). The legends were incredibly strong, actually too strong to beat I had to force a master ball on one of them because it would literally sweep my team before 3 pokeball attempts.
The champion especially... I won't say anything more than it felt like an actual wi-fi battle.. I've battled and beat streamers and fighting the champion felt like one of those games.
I never lost my team or "blacked out" once in this playthrough, but I've come close to, just this playthrough I actually have competitive experience so it was like beating new kids as a VGC player, except unlike x/y, I needed the experience to breeze through this easy, it was honestly hard and without 40 full restores at a time I'd probably lose every fight hard (also thank arceus ariados got sword's dance.. +6 sucker punches made some of the hardest battles ever complete sweeps.).
and now... I'm going to work on finishing my dex (sadly I didn't counter half of the new gen 7 pokemon in my playthrough and that's a big issue they need to work on that sucked in x/y, except I think it might honestly be worse.. ) and then its right to breeding my first competitive team and doing so with a shiny araquanid, possibly my new favorite pokemon.
This generation included everything everybody asked for... except for the whole pokedex expansion thing, I literally encountered almost no new pokemon.. the only new gen 7 pokemon I've seen were the ones forced to be seen (events, important characters) and the ones I deliberately hunted for (which is like 6 evolving them).
My pokedex, after credits, is only 31 full and that's including just evolving the ones I did find, and pregen pokemon I also caught. Sucks that zubat syndrome poisoned this generation too..
@MegaBeedrill nice you didn't black out! I blacked out twice so far and that was at lurantis! I like that fact that this is the hardest game in the series! lol I'm having a blast with it!
Also, I just remembered that I whited out against the first trial captain cause his smeargel got a crit with leafage on my Popplio 😂
Completing the dex is so hard this gen... the encounter rates are so low and pokemon call for help making false swiping and catching an absolute annoyance.
I managed to get ahold of a mareanie, I'll just breed those and trade them on gts to finish the dex, they're so rare for some reason you can get anything for them.

Totem Salazzle was pretty easy. Right now my team is Torracat, Alolan Raichu, and Wishiwashi. Might dump Wishiwashi if I feel like it's making the game too easy (schooling form has ridiculous stats but terrible Speed, allowing it to take a hit and then one shot a lot of things).
If you're wondering where the Thunderstone is, there's one behind the fossil restoration place on Route 8.
@NintyFan That's awesome! I got moon, and got a female Popplio my first try, nicknamed it Ariel as well, but I accidentally shut my game off without saving so I had to restart and ended up getting a male Popplio so I named it Poseidon
Munchlax is driving me nuts i have everything at full Fullness Enjoyment and Friendship been this way since level 13 still no Snorlax should of happened by now i don't know maybe the evolution is changed in Sun and Moon
@canucksfan989 Friendship as in Pokemon Refresh or Happiness as in the hidden stat that increases with walking and training? Because its the latter you need.

@canucksfan989 Pokémon Refresh activities have no effect on happiness for some reason, only affection. If you battle constantly with your Munchlax (and don't let it faint), which raises its happiness, you'll get a Snorlax in no time (I got mine at Level 15 in case you were wondering).
"You feel it? Fawful is also feeling it! I am needing to feel it even more, though!" - The magnificent Fawful
ah my bad assumed they were the same thing guess i should have it soon been battling with him consistently since the first trial just completed the grand trial
So can people clarify something? If I want to evolve my Rockruff, is it dependant on if it's night or day, or is locked to my game? I'm getting conflicting reports.

@BLP_Software in sun it evolves at lvl 25 in the day and you can only obtain midday form in sun. In moon, it evolves at lvl 25 at night and you can only obtain midnight form in moon. It's very odd how rockruff evolves lol
@Mimikyu92 So it IS dependant on time of day, but whether it evolves at all at the corresponding time is locked to the game? That's....actually kinda stupid. A lot of these new Pokémon and obtaining them are striking me as intentionally difficult. Lycanroc is awkward because of the above, Crabominable you cant get until the very end, Mareanie is just obnoxious to even FIND, and Vikivolt wont evolve until you've beaten all the trials in the game.
