Given Grezzo's 3D remake experience, Nintendo ought to let them make an entirely new 3D Zelda game that completes a Ocarina of Time trilogy. Having found a way to return from Termina after being victorious over Majora's Mask, Link finds Hyrule in a state of chaos hundreds of years later. Vaati has taken over and is the puppet of a new villain who pulls strings behind the scenes, misusing the happiness he has robbed from the masks he has pushed on countless of realms denizens. The mask salesman is really the Time Destroyer... All he has wanted was to take the Ocarina and rule Time itself. The game could start in Termina with Link seeking a way back to Hyrule, after smashing four dungeons he faces a final challenge and returns to Hyrule, credits roll and then..... Surprise Master Quest now Link is back in Hyrule hundreds of years after OoT with four final dungeons and dungeon masters to battle all culminating with a face off with the Happy Mask Salesman who is truly the Time Destroyer.

Nice idea but the 3DS will probably be discontinued in the next 2 years and remember TP how will that fit in as it was set hundreds of years after OOT. Plus will it be released on the Wii U,3DS(Unlikely) or a new Handheld.
TP was one of three outcomes though. This future Hyrule doesn't necessarily require the same from TP. It can even be temporary since Link could resolve that and rewind time one last time after vanquishing the enemy.

I see "completing the trilogy" come up a lot, but... what trilogy? Is there some rule that states that any series of 2 or more works can only exist in multiples of three?
Anyway, this here is the reason that we only get a new Zelda game every 4 or 5 years. Everyone's ideas in the interim years are all really, really bad.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
@Zach777 Twilight Princess is set at around the same time you're talking about and in the same timeline, the Child Timeline, which contains Majora's Mask. @TeeJay Vatti exists more in this timeline than in any other. Minish Cap and Four Swords are in the part of the timeline before Ocarina of Time splits it into three alternate timelines, and Four Swords Adventures is in the Child timeline, the timeline with Majora's Mask.
I still don't want Vatti involved with the Hero of Time though.
This Link appears as a very adult skeleton in Twilight Princess, so he most definitely did not die before Majora's Mask.
I do agree that Majoras Mask's themes resemble the stages of loss and grief quite a bit, but the game clearly states that Link lost a dear friend, so that's probably why.
I wish when people presented an idea for a Zelda game, they presented a gameplay idea rather than a story. Zelda's story comes from the gameplay, and it's generally 10X simpler than what you see in fanfics.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

I think it depends how much work would be required to do it. If it was done in a painstaking manual manner then it would be no easier than just doing something else but if it could be done for say 1/8th of the cost I don't see why not.
“30fps Is Not a Good Artistic Decision, It's a Failure”
Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.

According to the official Hyrule Historia, apparently this is true. But it would still be a completely rabdom out-of-left-field decision simply because the average gamer has no idea this book exists.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
You all know that if they made a concluding game to make a Ocarina of Time trilogy you'd buy it, please.
Concluding what? There are no loose ends in the narrative. A third game would need to make up some formerly non-existent conflict to be resolved by the end. If they're doing that, they may as well just make a stand alone game.
"Yay trilogies! That's a series of 3!" isn't a good enough reason to make another Hero of Time game.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
Link never found Navi, how did he return to Hyrule. That's how Majora's Mask started in the first place... The whole game has a big loose end straight from the start.

Probably. But it's not as simple as that is it. Everything isn't just divided up into individual releases each in their own vacuum. If they spend too much time making Zelda games, people might start to tire of the series. It's also time they could be spending on something else. I'd much prefer another 3D Mario game. For either console. Or a Metroid.
