I think it depends on the Gamestop store. I preordered at my local Gamestop but they won't open until 10am. No midnight release for this game or any others today. So i'll have to wait till after work. Not like i could play during work or anything...

Just picked up from target, only 2 copy in store... Glad I went there when they open.

I really wish I could afford this game Ah well, I have too many games on my backlog to be thinking about new games (Monster Hunter Tri is on my backlog).

I'm picking up my pre-order after work (6:00pm) at gamestop. Normally I would of downloaded the game instead but the free guide made it tempting. Hope you can download it on a tablet as a pdf or something, that way I can read it offline.

That's what i'm hoping for too. I hope to read it on my Kindle Fire while playing or just to read it wherever i may be.

Its 9pm here, im going to check ebgames in an hour.. Hope they have the preorders. ya same here except I only have a phone to view it on :/ I was going to print it out if all else fails. I have free 250 pg printing at school per term. Double-sided, so 4 pages per sheet. :3 Won't look as nice without color tho..

Played the demo and have one question. In the full game, can you use any of the beginner weapons with a male character, like the long swords?

Yes. I have every weapon type made of iron in my item box in my home. You can switch at will!

Got my copy. Apparently mines was the last one, so I ended up with the box on display. Weird since I preorder but that's what I get for picking it up after 6:00 at the only GameStop within a mile from my workplace.

@Gustoff @Fiv3Score Yep it can be downloaded as a PDF. About 524 page worth of info. Have to sign up to their page though to enter and download.

Yeah, you're right.. it's 524 pages! Thought it said 250 :/ I'll see if i can get it onto my phone, though it's going to be too tiny to read probably. have to keep zooming in.. I haven't played the game yet, just opened it and popped it into the slot to 'fill the hole' (my first retail 3ds game! ). Too busy at school, and I know if I start playing now I won't be able to stop haha

Is this game Pokemon-esque (in the sense where there's no real ending)?

Do you just go around hunting monsters in different fields to upgrade your character/weapons/armor/etc.?

basically yes, there's no real ending. you can keep going on forever, even after finishing all the quests and collecting every item in the game

How about new quests through DLC/Spotpass?
