Both commented that the game on the 3DS is great. The only flaw of course is not having online. Other than that, they praised the game on the handheld.

Thats great. I am still waiting for NL review I think Thomas said it should be up today sometime. Really interested what they have to say about the 3DS since I will be playing that one mostly. The only reason I am getting the Wii U one is so I can play online and I can play with my son. Still kinda funny that the 3DS doesn't have online yet MK7, Heroes of Ruin, Code of Princess etc. has online. Whats up with that?

@Tasuki
I know what you mean. I feel exactly the same way. But, i'm still getting it on the 3DS as that's my choice of gaming system. I've always loved handhelds. I'm looking at it in the way of the like of Skyrim. Single player, no online, hundreds of quests, epic battles, go on your own pace. Can't wait !!!
@Gustoff: I know what you mean I will probably end up playing it mostly on the 3DS. The only time I will play it on the Wii U is when I want to play online (thank goodness for the fact that I can swap my stuff back and forth between the 3DS and Wii U versions). I dont know if I mentioned it here or the other MHU thread but my Wii U is hooked up to the main household TV so yeah playing it can be a pain unless its during the night when everyone is asleep. Thats why I am looking forward to the off tv play update.
Yup, i don't have a Wii U myself, nor plan to get one anytime soon. So i'm stuck with no online. Which is fine for me. Maybe, one day, i'll be able to hook up with someone else that has the game on 3DS also and do some co-oping. But probably not. I'm still going to enjoy going at this solo.
What is the MH series about? What do you do in these games?
It's about the rewarding feeling of overcoming tough obstacles. As for what you do, there's a lot. I'll post back later if no one else has posted anything.
@Irysse (I'm assuming you've only played the demo based on your "new fan" thing, but if you've played Tri or a previous one disregard this whole post) Based on Monster Hunter Tri you won't be able to just gun down everything you see... Most of the time you'll walk right past little monsters like Jaggi and only shoot the big ones which could take you up to 50 minutes to "gun down". And the aiming isn't super accurate so you'll be dodging most of the time (like with some of the heavier weapons).
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
anyone know abt ebgames/gamestop? I preordered but have not received a call yet. Do they release it on release day? Should I just go tmr and see if it's there, or wait for a call
