for old times sake I put the game cartridge in my 3DS and started the game up. Holy crap its been a few years since played it.

the text in the game is tinier than the text dialouge in Monster Hunter Generations games.

I had to squint to read the text in Monster Hunter 3 just a few minutes ago and my eyes started to get a little blurry.

I dunno how everyone managed to read the text in the game when the text was that small

Haven't played it in years but it's my most played Monster Hunter game with 1200+ hours in it. 4U and GU didn't hold my attention quite as well.

i havent played Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in a couple of years also. Its just that the size of the text is horrible now where the text dialogue is a little better looking in Generations and Generations Ultimate and not bad in Monster Hunter 4.

After playing the MH3, MH4, and MHGens. demos on my 3DSXL every now and then, I finally bit the bullet and thought to get stuck in MH properly so just bought “Monster Hunter 3(tri)” for ¥92 (70p!!!) at a second hand shop in mint-condition for my old Wii...a bargain for such an amazing game!! Once I've gotten the best of it, I may get MH Generations Ultimate for the Switch along with a switch maybe sometime next year😅🎮

Haven’t played since 2013. But MH3U on Wii U was my first MH, and at 600 hrs my most played to date (all the others are 400 hrs each). It’s kinda hard to go back to after playing MHGU on Switch- it doesn’t feel nearly as fluid (some may say World makes it hard to play pre-World games, but I disagree, because MHGU and even MH4U still feel great to play- 3rd gen titles, on the other hand...)

No online for the 3DS version. But there’s cross save with Wii U version which has full online and voice chat. Just an FYI.

There’ll probably be a special edition Switch for Monster Hunter Rise when it releases in March. At the very least Japan will get one which can be imported.

@JaxonH As opposed to the 3DSXLs (and even GBASPs from back in the day) there has barely been any 'special editions' Switchs and seem to focus much more on special design joycons instead (Splatoon 2, Pokémon Let's Go) and just one Pokémon S&S Switch lite😭. A special MH edition switch would surely push me much more into buying, that's for sure.

Been thinking about getting back into playing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate either late today or tonight. I really forgot what Gigginox and the Gobul look like.

Plus dunno if anyone still remembers, but Azuros, Lagombi and Volvidon have been around since Monster Hunter 3.

also Purple Royal Ludroth I completely forgot about also
