New to this forum and new to the Nintendo 3DS Galaxy XL. Some questions about using the MicroSD card adapter:
I went out and got a 128GB MicroSD card for this Galaxy and also got the Adapter for it. When I insert the MicroSD adapter into the slot of the Galaxy, I was not able to find it in the menu of the Galaxy. Maybe you CAN NOT use and external MicroSD card Adapter for the Galaxy. I do know how to open the back of the Galaxy and replace the 4GB MicroSD card that it came with the Galaxy, but I rather use the external MicroSD Adapter. That way, I don't have to open the back every time I want to add new movies to the MicroSD card.
I was going to put some movie or video files so my 1 year old daughter can watch movies during a long road trip to keep her busy. The other question is can you even watch movies in either FLV or MP4 file format?
That external SD adapter you are talking about is a slot 1 flash card used mostly for DS piracy. Most of them are blocked and unusable on the latest 3DS firmware. Can't tell much about the card from that image but they usually come with a website that you go to for supporting software....these could play video on the old DS but like I said it probably doesn't work in a 3DS.
