I already own the original OoT so I'm wondering about getting this. Currently Amazon has it for $30 so I'm considering Re-buying this game, has anyone re-bought OoT for 3DS and regretted it?
Me. I can tell you that it is worth it. I'm doing master quest right now, having never played the original, and I can safely that it is worth every penny.
Having owned the original cart but not the virtual console version, I rebought the game and reloved it too. The game looks gooorgeous, and then having master quest is a big plus.
I absolutely love the 3DS version. I couldn't finish the original game because it was so ugly and frameratey (literally gave me headaches and made me nauseous), but this one is silky smooth and gorgeous all around. Definitely worth it. It's probably my favorite 3DS game – even over the recent ones that have just come out.
its a must have, the 3d is perfect it shows depth and some nice popping 3d at points, and it comes with master quest which is pretty rare,it only came on game cube and it only came with oot or oot and wind waker which were both rare titles.
I own the original N64 Cartridge (Gold edition ), the Game Cube Zelda Collection (which has OoT on it) and the Wii VC version and honestly I would have probably bought it on the 3DS since this is one of my favorite Zelda games and the fact that I can play it on the go. The only reason I haven't bought it is because I am on limited funds and for now I am using my money on games that I haven't played already like SM3DL and MK7 rather than a remake. If it wasn't for that I would probably have bought it by now.

I would buy it used and hopefully go straight into the Master Quest. I was annoyed as hell to play the entire original adventure again before unlocking the new content. But it's a great update to the game. My favorite addition (other than finally playing the crazy Master Quest) was simply the gyro aiming and looking controls. Fantastic, with 3D.

The game is freaking beautiful, the framerate and 3D is amazing, plus you get Master Quest with it along with boss rush added. It's totally worth it for $40, so for $30 there shouldn't even be consideration involved.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
only good zelda games were original nes game.....link to the past links awakening and oracle games rest were pretty much meh
Honestly this is getting old if you cant contribute to the topic then why say anything. The OP isnt asking which Zelda games were the best.[/quote cant have a topic without conflict involved
if you love the game then it's definitely worth it. i was too bored with the original to replay it, but the 3DS version feels just as fresh as it did in '98. it really felt like playing the game for the first time again, mainly just because of the new visuals. it's important to be immersed in an adventure/exploration game and if you're seeing bare polygons and muddy textures then the illusion is ruined. the new visuals and art direction were good enough to fix that and make the game feel alive again.
that's just me, though. i thought it was worth buying these games on the VC to see them in 480p too, even though i owned the original carts, and i still felt like ocarina of time 3D was good enough to justify buying the game a 3rd time over. if (when) majora's mask 3D comes out i'll be all over that one first day too. i'd even pay double the retail price for it.

I'd love a Majora's Mask remake too. I have the original on the VC, but the graphics are just too damn dated for me. Everything else about it is awesome though.
