My wi-fi was working fine for all these days but then today after I updated my 3DS my wi-fi stopped working is it something to do with the update? The update number is 7.1.0-14U Please help fix my wi-fi for my 3DS!

Are you sure it's not just Nintendo's servers? Everyone's having problems right now

Yes. Both Miiverse and the eshop are down, but I am able to get here from my 3DS.
