I feel sorta bad because I never used Sumia even though she married Chrom. I'm working on getting Limit Breaker for all my units so I've decided to grind her and Chrom up so they can level the field (though MU and Chrom can do that by themselves).
You get Limit Breaker from DLC maps, right?
That's correct. From the last map of the Rogues and Redeemers pack.
I am finally getting round to picking this great game up shortly, but I just wanted to ask if there is a way to grind your characters' levels up freely in the game? I lost a fair few of my warriors in Shadow Dragon, and couldn't easily grind their replacements up to a respectable level, and then lost interest in the game. Cheers.

@Mr_Vengeance grinding is pretty easy in this game. For 500 Gold you can summon a team of risen of varying difficulty that you can grind on. Plus spotpass teams can be summoned for free, and low level ones have enemies that cannot attack (Mist for example, have everyone else clear out the enemies excpet for the healer and then have your lvl 2 or 3 kill her).
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

500 gold? Are you talking about a Reeking Box? That costs 4800, no?
EDIT: I just realized maybe it was a typo and you were rounding to 5000. In that case carry on.
Question, what makes the modes less forgiving than the normal difficulty? I really cant see a difference at first glance. Also I still cant get over how awesome the final levels music is. Is it just me or is it one of the best songs ever composed?
@GamecubeMan
The enemies are quite a bit tougher or the harder difficulties, and they can have 4 or 5 great skills as well. Items and weapons also cost more and you also get less experience from killing enemies. If you go from Normal to Lunatic, you'll definitely see a difference.
Will try and complete the main story, and some of the side stories that week,as Animal Crossing is nearly here. But I will certainly go back to the game, and try it on a harder difficulty with perma-death on.

I've never been into RPGs much but I read some reviews and gamer feed back and decided to give this one a chance and i'm really impressed. I like the perma death, the concequences make me thoroughly think through each move.
I managed to finish the main story on Classic Normal. Clocked in 30 hours on that play through. After Animal Crossing I'll probably revisit it but on hard this time.
I need to stop messing around with this game and move on with the story! I've decided Lethality will do as an extra skill. I'd like Revival too but that'd take too long to get(and I don't want to be too overpowered). I still can't decide on who to marry; and Tiki joining doesn't help! Speaking of Marriage though...
Part 2 to the comic I posted a while back. AwkwardZombie's hilarious.
Finally beaten (on hard)it after 64 hours. I haven't strictly done everything - I haven't even married everyone off, let alone explored the support conversations (thanks, Frederick, for getting knocked out in one of the first missions by a surprise hammer(!)), and I haven't beaten all the bonus squads or the DLC.
Nevertheless, I'm going to start again with some challenges. First, I'll play on Extreme/Classic mode. I won't Soft Reset if a character falls, I'll avoid the "EXPonential Growth" DLC level ("The Golden Gaffe" is fair game because you earn hardly anything during the game, and I may be forced to recruit some "mercenaries", although I'll make sure to keep away from the High Lvl hires) and see If I can beat it!
A quick question though. What does pressing L+R on the file select screen do?
Went with the whole Fire Emblem Awakening themed profile picture. Owain is probably my favorite character by far. He just seems under appeciated, happy go lucky and strange. He's awesome.
Does reclassing a unit affect their stat growths? When I reclassed Kellam to a Thief for Movement +1, he tended to have his Speed stat increase when he levelled up than when he was a Knight. Did reclassing him to a Thief affect his Speed growth or was it just pure coincidence?
