I'm trying my luck at Lunatic mode, and its hell.
I made to chapter 2 and no one on my team is able to put up a fight, I have to sent Frederick out to take care of everything, but that still isn't enough.
There have to be a way to beat this, if anyone have a good strategy, I'll be happy to hear it!
Also, which DLC is best for level grinding. I was thinking of getting EXPotential Growth or The Paragon Skill.
If you have a good one in mind, please share, or suffer my madness~ now come in pancake flavor.

@Rx2Techz Well, did you enjoy what the demo showed you? You're right, it doesn't show off the skill collection, support system, etc. very well, but the demo showed combat pretty well.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

The Golden Pack is good for grinding. You want all three. Paragon Skill is actually optional. Limit Breaker skill is more important.

Until you can get the Chapter 5 (where you can grind levels), pair Chrom with Frederick and camp on a fort and hope for the best. Hopefully you get some dual strikes and blocks to help you get through the level.
If you can ever get the enemies to come down a bottleneck so that there is only one row of spaces to work with, exploit that. Force the enemy to funnel down. The level where Vaike and Miriel show up (Chapter 3?) is an example of this. I got all the enemies to chase my units around that hill to the left, so that my weaker units were at a safe distance, and Frederick only had to take on one enemy (maybe two) at a time. If Frederick's health gets too low, he has the speed to get to the forts to recover health faster since veneraries may not be enough. Be sure Frederick doesn't run out of weapons uses though.
As stated, the Golden Pack is the best pack for grinding. It actually breaks the game, in my opinion, and makes the first half or so levels very beatable on Lunatic and Lunatic+. Even after grinding, later levels will be a challenge.
I finally made it to ch5, with out losing anyone....that was brutal.
I guess I should get the golden pack now, most of my team are at Lv1 and Frederick isn't going to cut it anymore.
Thank for the help, now time to grind.

How much exp are you guys getting a spotpass team kill? I only get 1 exp an enemy.
Also Noire the Sniper but make sure the father passes on Counter >:3 I learned this from Lunatic + Archers, it really adds a level of deadly to Archers and Snipers.
If you're only getting 1exp you're just over leveled for that enemy.
I'm going to assume that it is just another thing to make it harder on the highest difficulties, I never seem to have got more then 1 exp a kill on Spotpass on Lunatic or Lunatic+.
Sorry I've been gone a while, I stopped getting updates for this forum despite me suppose to be getting them.

It is a difficulty level thing. On Lunatic and Lunatic+ you don't get much experience from spotpass battles.
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
Completed the game a few days ago. Took 62 hours before completing it and i'm still not tired of it. Such an fantastic game! Almost makes TSS look bad and i loves TSS. Going to do some level grinding now and take care of the last Spotpass side missions. After that i'll probably start another file on Hard again and not try to restart when a character dies this time.

I did this and it was a lot of fun. I did lose a lot of characters towards the end, usually because of some stupid thing I overlooked, but other times because of crazy bad luck. I also added a stipulation that I couldn't use any DLC to grind, which added a lot to the experience. There were several times where I had to sacrifice someone for the greater good. That made for some tough decisions.
Anyone tried Double Duels yet? It's surprisingly fun and challenging (later on) not to mention rewarding. Especially when you reach higher Renown's. We've only got one more challenger; Tharja's Curse.
I've beaten all double duel challengers. The Army of Shadow I actually never died on, it was my somewhat unprepared bud who did.

@Xtremetdifan Yeah, I haven't either. Thats what stinks about friends not having FEA, oh, only if double battles were online capable, I would have teamed up and played some.
I've kinda taken a break from FE:A but going back to it for Barracks and Risen, I noticed I can Second Seal from a Level 20 Grandmaster to a... Level 1... Grandmaster. I might do it though since while it sounds stupid and I don't gain stats, I don't lose them either and I can gain exp. once more. It's weird getting that for an option.

I do it all the time if I don't need any more skills for that character, if I like the class they're already in, and they aren't maxed out yet. Not weird at all.
