HELP ME I am trying to find a ds game I played a while ago it was a old game with not the best graphics but was good in it you had a grid on a natural looking Location where you had a birds eye view of the area in it you had different troops and some were on your team and some were the enemies and the point of the game was to move your troops one move at a time and kill the other troops the troops were medieval themed and had a bit of fantasy in it I can remenber they was a few egyption troops like a women with a cross bow and scorpions if I had not made this game clear enough think about it like chess but wider category of troops and bigger area
Sounds like it could be something like Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, or Rondo of Swords. The genre definitely seems to be a fantasy tactics game, so if it's not any of those games you could look up a list of tactics DS games and probably find what you're looking for pretty quickly.
Edit: To clarify, are you looking for a DS game or a 3DS game? You titled the thread as "DS" but the tag on the thread says "3DS".
@Everybodys : The only option in my collection that could possibly fit the bill is Battles of Prince of Persia, which was also a grid-based tactical game.
@DrJon216 I think you have found the right game, because I was thinking the same thing. I actually own that game and the description by the OP sounded pretty spot on to me.
@Everybodys As the poster above me mentioned, it's probably Age of Empires: Mythologies.
Here's two videos of that game. One a trailer and the other a gameplay video, which might help answer your question.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
There's a game like that on the DS that had a glitch, where if you used a name with 3 characters or less, it would literally brick itself. Lemme try to find a video about it.
Here, I timestamped it. Turns out it's a different game in the same series, Age of Empires: The Age of Kings
@Eel Ah, okay. I've honestly never heard of that glitch before. Well, I checked my collection, and turns out that it's actually The Age of Kings that I own, not Mythologies. I might become nervous now, would it not be for the fact that I don't have a need or want to use a three letter name...
And I already all but finished the game without any problems whatsoever, so I'm definitely glad I dodged that bullet. I wonder if other people that weren't so lucky, got a refund.
EDIT:
Never mind, I already got the answer from the video.
Just goes to show you: watch first, ask questions later.
