Topic: Dragon Quest 3DS

Now, when the 3DS was first announced, I saw *Dragon Quest on Nintendo Power's (Sorry to make any of you cry who wish this magazine is still going) upcoming 3DS games list. It was still there in there until Vol. 280. Was there ANY word of it being cancelled for the US or Europe?

I don't think there was any official word of any 3DS Dragon Quest games except for the remake of DQ7, which hasn't been officially announced for english-speaking countries yet (I don't think... Not following too closely)

You know it's coming, it's just a matter of time. SE will make a DQ game for the 3DS, they need the money.

Man... I wish that DQ 3DS game from Japan would hurry up and get sent to other countries. I also wished Square Enix would put some Final Fantasy games on 3DS....

DQ7 — the NOSTALGIA. How about they bring Bravely Default first then DQ7.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 2, Dragon Quest 7 and Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland are all currently out in Japan with no word on them being released in the west.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 is also on its way to Japan; again no word on release here.

Some games are put on a list even if they are not confirmed. Unless an official announcement is made, don't expect the games

Would love to see something about a Dragon Quest on 3DS. DQIX blew me away. 3DS can take something like that and make it so much better.

Dragon Quest 9 aka Dragon Quest: Sentinel of the Starry Skies was a really good game for DS. It had TONS of content.

Damn it SE! Bring DQVll and DQX. Huh, guess I have to hope Ninty brings them since SE is to lazy.

It could be up to Nintendo; they were responsible for Dragon Quest IX, after all. At least, I hope that if someone does localize VII, they don't just take the PSX version's script and work up from there. :/

(And while you're at it, Nintendo, convince SE to let you do a new print run for DQV. )

I hope there is a DQ for the 3DS in the future, one using the 3D feature (well implemented hopefully). Classic remakes are cool, but I lost interest in the series at 6, some of the newer ones just felt more redundant than. 4 and 5 were my favorites, and I hope they get those in the virtual console soon.

DQ9 is a pretty great game. If they do another one on 3DS I hope it is more like that. It is probably the one I have enjoyed the most since DQ3. Aren't they working on an MMO DQ for Wii U right now? That's probably absorbing the DQ team's attention right now =(

Dragon Quest X MMORPG has been out in japan for quite a while on Wii. It will come to North America on PC not Wii or Wii-U stomps Feet Dragon Quest X was one of the reasons for me to buy a Wii-U. Now I will hold off until Xenoblade is released

Bleh, that does me no good. I don't have a PC. Oh well, I'm not keen about MMOs anyway.

DQ 9 could very well be the finest turn-based RPG I've ever played. DQ 8 is way up there too - hard to do classical-style RPG better than that - but the PS2-itis (loading times before certain attacks... Just disc-based irritations in general) makes it just a teensy bit more of a chore than 9.

I'd play 9 again... but the stupid one-save-file-only thing prevents that :/ It's one big-ol' save file, granted.... but I wish I could play through from scratch again w/o nuking my endgame file.

A great thing about Dragon Quest IX is that there are so many copies of it, you could pick one up used in good condition for less than $10 easily on eBay. Dragon Quest V DS is a different story. :3
