Hey did anyone beat the Shock Temple yet? I'm stuck at B12F. There is one central room with a teleporter and a locked door and 6 other rooms with switches in them. Not sure what to do with the switches?

Look at each of the rooms, there are differences and then decide which switches to use.

So, I randomly got the full version of this a few weeks ago and got pretty addicted to it.

Even though I got bored pretty fast with the second one, this one managed to get my complete attention for the 40 hours it took to beat the main story, and it's still going.

Now I can't wait for the f2p one to release here. If it ever does...

@Morpheel: Nice to hear you enjoyed it; I completely forgot about the third Denpa game. I loved the second one (the first was charming to begin with but grew kind of dull pretty quickly), but wasn't a fan of the demo for 3. The big new feature - building a village and designing houses - seemed so dull, very unlike its Animal Crossing counterpart. What do you think has improved in 3 over 2?
I'm really hoping we get F2P Denpa in the west too

I personally found 3 to be much more enjoyable than 2, for starters the game makes grinding a bit easier because you can always heal in the warp points inside dungeons (instead of having to go out and warp to a town to sleep). You also heal whenever you enter a town or safe zone, which is nice.

The monsters are also less intolerable... They'll still pursue you restlessly, but in 2 it usually happened to me that as soon as I entered a room, I'd have like two or three enemies right in front of me initiating a series of battles before the game even finished loading the room.

The house decorating is nice, but it's not really integral or needed... It's just there, with no benefit to it, so I mostly ignored it. Fishing and gardening are both super nice though, greatly improved from 2.

Another really nice feature is that you can warp to any place you have visited (unless you're in a dungeon) and each area has a map in the touch screen you can use to navigate the towns much faster (tap a building twice and you enter it instantly). It really made going around preparing for a new dungeon much faster.

Anyway, I feel that if you liked 2 you'll definitely love 3. It's like 2, but more polished and fun. The demo ends pretty fast, so you don't really get the chance of enjoying most of the new stuff.

@Morpheel: Thanks. I imagine I'll only bother decorating the houses of my main Denpas, though I'm glad to hear fishing and gardening are improved as I found them to be fun distractions in 2.
I thought the demo ended so abruptly as well! Much shorter than the demo for the first 2.
As soon as my student loan comes in I'm getting DP3 then. I really hope the free version comes westward at some point as well; I really think this is one of the most underrated games on 3DS. It's bursting with so much of that Nintendo charm, it's a shame the series never really took off.

@Morpheel: Oh my...
Dude, I just saw that Bandai released a Denpa Men card game in Japan
The cards included serial codes for Denpa Men F2P unlocks!

I still want to get this at some point. I played most of one and bought 2 to show my support but I'm so far behind on all my games I didn't get this. Not even sure if these ever went on sale but if it does again in the future I'll pick it up if nothing else to once again show support.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

I was originally waiting for a sale, but I'm not sure if that ever happened. I just randomly bought it one year later

At least it was a few pesos cheaper than 2.

Oh wow that's interesting. O_o

I kinda want some cards.

Though... Maybe they're part of the reason we haven't gotten the game.

@Morpheel: The cards were released a year after the game AFAIK, so it still remains a mystery why we never received Free.
I like to think Nintendo are planning on localising the card game as well, hence the delay, but I guess that's just wishful thinking...
