Topic: Chrono Trigger 3DS

I would love to see a 3DS update of Chrono Trigger with the game improved with the graphics of Dragon Quest IX.

Anyone else?

I wouldn't buy it (I own the DS version) but if they expand 3D Classics to the SNES and this is one of them I'll consider it hahah

It would be nice, but seeing how they made one for DS, I don't know if they'll make one again.

I'd buy it if they overhauled everything to be like modern console RPGs. We really don't need another version of the game, but I like the idea of a new/revamped battle system and a 3D world. I would want it on a console, though.

HECK NO. Unless it's on 3DSware for $8-10. there's no way I'm paying $40 for this game again, no matter how pretty they make the graphics.

i would agree with this if it weren't for the fact that i think Chrono Cross was complete and utter crap.

CT just saw an awesome release for DS, and it's also available for VC. it's time for something else to have a turn at a remake IMO (or, better yet, something new and original plz, or perhaps a long-awaited sequel of some sort)

since the wii got it on virtual console, maybe, if nintendo decides to give us snes games on 3ds.
but i think i read they would only give us handheld games for virtual console on 3ds, and keep wii for the console virtaul console games.

but i truly hope for snes games on 3ds. this would be... the best handheld console ever created. So much memorable games on snes. it made my most of childhood gaming!

Blasphemy!!! I thought that Chrono Cross was awesome. Chrono Trigger is still one of my all-time favorite games and yes, I think it is superior to Chrono Cross but it is definitely not crap.

I would also love to see a new Chrono game but I seriously doubt that will ever happen.

I haven't even touched or seen anything Chrono-related. This might be the time to change that.

Just like the FF7 thread, no no no. Wasted resources that could be put to new projects. Sure CT is a good game, but if they need to go back to that series make a new one as it if you count it as such not had a new series release since Chrono Cross and that I don't recall was well received.

I agree with TBD I didnt like Chrono Cross either. Chrono Trigger on the other hand is one of my favorite games of all time. As much as I would like to see a 3D remake of the CT quite honestly I would like to see some new stuff on the 3DS rather than remakes. Beside the fact that they have a DS version is probably a good enough reason for Square to not make a 3DS version.
