I'd just like to say that I've had my 3DS for two days now and had no errors or problems of any kind. I'm not doing this to boast, I'm doing it because I know some people will see topics like this and start worrying - I'm one of them, reading topics about Wiis not reading dual-layered discs stopped me from playing Brawl for about a year for fear of mine being broken! At first these topics scared me from using my 3DS, and I know there may well be others like me. So, not all 3DSes are error-prone, just to put some people's minds at rest.
It happened to me twice today while play Super Monkey Ball. I blew into the game and it worked fine again. It is still annoying, especially when you lose your progress.
Just out of interest, out of everyone who's had errors who has or hasn't performed the software update on their system? I haven't updated it yet and I'm not going to if there's even the slightest possibility that might have anything to do with the errors.

I have the 3DS since Thursday and I think I played around 5 hours on it. I updated yesterday and the error occurred this morning for the first time, two times in a row. It is probably coincidence though, I doubt that it has something to do with the update.
I didn't update because I don't have internet connection as of yet, and I have not experienced any sort of error message. Everything has been running smoothly. Maybe the update itself caused the problem?
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
I think it might have to do with the update because not long after I finally did update, the error popped up. I'm sure they'll take care of it as I bet they've received a ton of complaints already judging from the various forums around the net.
hi all yes i can confirm this ! i had this error twice too , occurd on a Pal-System if that helps Two times at playing with the AR Games ; while Fishing , so i think its a device problem than rather a special software bound problem ! sad so ... this error i had since sundays , friday and saturday it worked perfectly ...
PS: i got the first firmware update with which u got that 3D video with that skateboarding and bear
To all Americans who get their System today: just a tip or test to prevent this error : DONT UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM
First try running the system 1-2 days and look if something happens, probably error only occurs to updated systems ... can anyone confirm this?? Testing needed here ! What do u think about this Corbs ?!
