The aptly-named Japanese studio Treasure — in spite of its fondness for focusing on less popular formats and its infrequent and occasionally Japan-only releases — has long been a developer famed throughout all of game-dom for the consistent originality and sheer quality that runs through its work. Formed in 1992 by a bunch of ex-Konami employees, its output quickly elevated the company to 'legendary' status.
But where is it now? Short of Ikaruga’s welcome Switch presence and a handful of titles included almost by default as part of the Sega Mega Drive Classics bundle, Treasure and its unique brand of games are noticeably absent from the current generation of gaming. Frankly, we miss them, and we’d love to see them come back and do what they do best — show everyone else how it’s done.
But which of their many fondly remembered games should make a glorious fresh-faced reappearance on Nintendo’s current console?
The only correct answer is of course “All of them”, but as that makes for a pretty short and boring article let’s instead focus on a few that would either definitively make modern gaming better merely for existing or, at the very least, would be an undeniable asset to the Switch’s already excellent library.
And what better place to start than at the very beginning? Gunstar Heroes was Treasure’s debut release, and remains many run ‘n’ gunners' run ‘n’ gun of choice. After twenty-eight years it still feels like one of the most bright and boisterous examples of its genre, ambitious almost to the point of absurdity even for those who don’t understand how hard the devs had to push the Mega Drive to make its constant rush of “impossible” tricks a reality.
The purist in us says we’d love to see this legendary action-platform-shooting title back in gorgeous colour-soaked HD 2D in addition to its now soul-crushingly expensive 2005 GBA follow-up, Gunstar Super Heroes, but we know there’s about as much chance of that happening as there is of Nintendo announcing F-Zero GX HD. Even so, there’s no reason why this frenetic duology couldn’t survive a 3D update — nobody would accuse Bayonetta, Devil May Cry 3, Vanquish, or any number of other kinetic gun-heavy games of lacking technical depth or breathtaking action after all.
And if there’s one thing we already know Treasure can do well it’s stylish 3D action; as proven by the N64 classic Sin & Punishment and its equally wonderful Wii sequel, Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies. A plain Switch double pack of those two would be enough to send anyone keen on perfectly orchestrated into-the-screen shooting straight to gaming heaven all by itself, a true sequel to make it a trilogy would almost certainly become a pre-order record-breaker purely on the series’ reputation alone.
Gunstar Heroes and Sin & Punishment were in spirit pretty similar to their own successors and it’s fair to assume a brand new entry would be, too. But what about a Treasure concept that felt very different from one game to the next, like the multi-directional shooter series Bangai-O? Whether you prefer the madcap space fruit-filled campaign of the N64 original or the self-contained puzzles of the innovative DS game Bangai-O Spirits, there’s little doubt that either style — or yet another playful reimagining of the missile-countering formula — would feel right at home on the Switch.
Continuing on that similar-but-different train of thought brings us to Guardian Heroes and the well intentioned but uneven GBA game, Advance Guardian Heroes. Anything from an epic RPG-lite side-scrolling adventure against the armies of heaven and hell to a magical arena-based tournament fighter could be teased out of the existing setting, and with online and sofa-based multiplayer now easier than ever to implement, could there be a better time to revive this cooperative slice of sword-swinging brilliance? We don’t think so.
Standing proud and alone is Alien Soldier, the game that asked “If the bosses are the highlight of every level, why are we wasting everyone’s time with the other bits?”. This 16-bit wonder is an intense gauntlet of raw action that constantly drives players to put themselves in danger, a game where a little practice and bravery can turn seemingly impossible one-sided battles into devastating encounters that see your enemies defeated within seconds.
Unlike the other titles mentioned above, this one has so far had no sequel, spiritual or otherwise, at all. In fact its leading hero, unstoppable humanoid birdman Epsilon Eagle, hasn’t had so much as a cheeky cameo as a Smash Bros. spirit. Surely after twenty-six years (and counting) everyone deserves another chance to experience this nonstop rollercoaster of endlessly creative and incredibly difficult one-on-one combat? Imagine a new entry coupled with the crisp hand-drawn look of Streets of Rage 4 or the chunky faux-retro pixels and imitation scanlines of Blazing Chrome and try not to sigh wistfully for what could be...
We’ll finish with the one Treasure game that is not only already on the Switch but is also a sequel to an earlier game: Ikaruga, which was dubbed Project R[adiant]S[ilvergun]-2 when it was in development. The shmup genre as a whole is if not undergoing a true resurgence then at least finally being appreciated as more than those games you can finish in half an hour on your first go. It just makes sense to revive colour-switching shmupping sooner rather than later, doesn’t it?
Of course, all this wishful thinking ignores one particularly thorny problem: Treasure isn’t keen on making sequels even when they’re contradicting themselves and making sequels, and that’s part of the reason why we love them — everything Treasure does is almost always new and fresh, and even when it creates something that’s not completely different from all that went before, it’s usually been so long between the two iterations it really doesn’t matter either way.
So, we’ll daydream of imagined continuations of all our old favourites and wish very hard for something else instead — for Treasure to come back in any form. The last game the team made for themselves was Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury — now around a decade old — and the last project they developed at all was Gaist Crusher God for Capcom, a 3DS title which we will politely describe here as “disappointing”.
Treasure deserve better than to be a fading memory sustained only by retro re-releases, and gaming deserves better than to be without Treasure.
What do you think of our wishlist? Which Treasure games would you like to see on the Switch?

Mischief Makers its a hidden gem on the N64, it deserves also at least an HD port on the switch.
I’ve tried loads of Treasure games and I’ve always found them too hard. I’ve enjoyed playing them but they are for elite skilled players and I sadly am not one of those. I did beat the original Xbox Ninja gaiden mind so I’m not that bad at games 😂
👏👏👏👏
I would love for a guardian heroes hd port. The one that was released on xbl arcade, that had two graphics mode to choose from. The one that it's BC on the xbo and series x/s. Yet absent from the switch
Without doubt Treasure made one of the best platformer games ever and can't believe it didn't even get at least a honourable mention in this article. The game I am referring to, Dynamite Headdy. I played this gem of a game too much back during my Megadrive days. It's just an absolute pure joy from start to finish. I really wish Treasure turned it into a franchise. But I guess it came out a little too late in the generation and as such it never received the adulation it so deserved.
Would like to see Radiant Silvergun get ported. This always evaded me on the Saturn, always very costly
Radiant Silvergun saw its way to XBLA, and it's still my favorite Treasure game, followed by Bangai-O HD.
I certainly wouldn't mind for Guardian Heroes to see a release as well.
Own and love both Sin & Punishments as well as Mischief Makers.
And was/am always interested in playing Gunstar Heroes sometime.
So yeah, always loved them as a developer solely based on that.
One of the best developers in the history of videogames. Treasure titles have always played like nothing else, surprises you at every corner and offer high dopamine action you could not get elsewhere.
Not even mentioning Astro Boy: Omega Factor on GBA hurts me a bit.
I don't understand why GUARDIAN HEROES had not been ported. I know the SATURN was a pain to program for, but surely we can get it on Switch. I loved CODE OF PRINCESS, but it was not the same.
Treasure should make a Star Fox game, they'd be perfect at that. They make great games, but they sell poorly so they should attach a stronger IP to it.
Sin & Punishment and Alien soldier definitely need reboots. Timeless classics!!!
@Tinglemies
Oh man... OMEGA FACTOR. Easily in the top 10 GBA games for me. My GBA was stolen with it inside. Haunts me to this day as the after-market price for this gem is a little too high for me.
I cannot believe the article didn’t mention Astro Boy Omega factor! Easily one of my favourite games on the gba.
I know they Switch is a port machine, but I'm kind of tired of it. Though I'd love a new Sin and Punishment!
Dynamite Headdy is every bit as good as Gunstar Heroes and deserves a mention!
Gradius V plz. I did enjoy that on Ye Olde Ps2e.
Just... port all of them. I'd buy a Treasure compilation.
@Axelay71 A S & P reboot when the story ins't even done? The wii sequel ended on a cliif-hanger.We need another sequel that ends the story.
My heart just exploded. This is my favourite developer of all time. Yes yes to all of this… Bangai-O Spirits is my number one favourite game of all time. Thank you for this article!
Just bought an ED64 Plus and to my surprise it comes with Sin & Punishment and Bangai-O! 🎮 😄
How are you doing a feature on Treasure and not even mentioning Wario World?
On a Nintendo site too!! 🤷♂️
Sin & Punishment 1 & 2 HD collection NEEDS to happen. Make it so and Treasure will have funding for S&P 3. Easy day.
❗I've had both 'Gunstar Heroes Advance' and 'Guardian Heroes Advance' TWICE but just CAN'T get into them so I sell them on.
Mischief makers
I saw Treasure Games, and immediately thought Wario World. I miss that game, it was fun. Honestly I wished we would get a new Wario platformer in general...sighs
I have never found any of their games appealing honestly and the ones they have have literally not really had enough of a following to merit a sequel really except the first sin and punishment and even that was a meh game.
@Tipehtfomottob Dynamite Headdy is a Sega IP, Treasure couldn't do anything even they would like to try
“Welcome to Wario World HD! Have a rotten day!”
Please, I’m beggin’ ya!
@WhiteTrashGuy The don't even need to port the Saturn version, just port the XBLA version its BC on the Xbox Series X.
@Randomname19 reboot sequel whatever most games get remastered nowadays.
With Advance Wars getting a remake for the Switch, I could see Nintendo doing the same to Golden Sun and it's Sequel.
Why no Wario World in article?
I don't love every Treasure game I've played, but I always respect what they were doing. One of those developers that always strived to make cool, fun, interesting games. And in hindsight, it feels like they largely just made cult classic after cult classic. It's upsetting that they've seemingly vanished from making any sort of new games.
But it is funny that you made no mention of Mischief Makers or Astro Boy: Omega Factor, my two favorites of theirs. Mischief Makers is easily one of the best games on the N64, and has some of the most out there boss fights of that era of gaming, and Astro Boy: Omega Factor is probably just straight up the best anime licensed game ever made.
I’m happy with Ikaruga. Radiant Silvergun, after several attempts, never felt as interesting for me. Never really played any of their other games, though. Is Guardian Heroes a game developed by Treasure? That was good but I forget the developer. It would be nice to see that on modern systems with modern updates to that weird battle system.
No mention of Mischief Makers, wow!
Super underrated N64 classic that deserved more attention.
Not everything needs a port. If everything is getting ported over and over and over to every new console iteration just for the sake of having them on the newest system we will be buying the same games multiple times over. We really need to drop this port mentality. Just keep your old systems. If it’s a sequel then by all means, bring it but enough of the ports.
"Sin and Punishment was the best game for the n64" is the hill that I'll die on
2 words, MISCHIEF MAKERS!
Gunstar Heroes is on the Mega drive Collection
@SirAileron I love Bangai-o, one of my all time top 10. Would love to see an updated edition for switch with hd graphics!
do you all eat fishys
@Azuris do you eat fishys
I'd definitely buy a Switch Sin & Punishment double pack.
Personally, I'd like to see Wario World make a comeback. It was mindless, but it was a heck of a lot of fun for me.
One of my favorite Wario games for sure.
@Tipehtfomottob it's available on the Sega Genesis collection.
@Darlinfan and opinions are a dime a dozen. Just because you have one doesn’t make it any more valid than mine.
Sin & Punishment 1&2 feel like the first 2 games in a trilogy, Nintendo really should use their money to get Treasure to make a third one.
@gazamataz You just have to believe!! Lol You just have to have courage to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat! (Or some crap like that! lol) But for real, talent may play a small part, but mostly it’s determination and bravery. Spirit. Sounds like there’s a little self doubt here. You can do it! Just remember the game (any of them), as crazy as it seems, was indeed designed to be played by mortal flesh. Sometimes you have to do a little memorizing of patterns, or a little trial and error, but learn a little at each death. Maybe more than what you’re willing to do after a hard day’s work or whatever... play easy games in those times, but save some time for serious gaming. The rewards for destroying a game you at first thought was impossible extend far beyond your gaming life and you’ll see benefits even in regular life. You’ll see your confidence grow, and you’ll notice you’re more willing to tackle new projects, solve problems more easily... IDK, just some stuff I noticed in myself after I started realizing I could actually beat some hard (for me) games. Thinking shmups and platformers... but same applies to any difficult game I guess.
Gunstar Super Heroes is a soul-crushingly expensive game now?
Remembering circa 2007 when Best Buy seemingly couldn't give the game away at like $10 in the bargain bins.
RSG is still my favourite shooter.
No love on here for Silhouette Mirage?
Sin & Punishment 1 & 2 HD.. please please please take my moneyyyyyyyyy naoooooowwwwwwwwwsa
Mischief makers didn't even get a mention.. and it's the best out of all these games... shake shake shake
@Darlinfan lol okay buddy calm down. Apparently I triggered something but that’s okay. You obviously have a history of being combative with others when looking at your comment history but I promise you life will go on. They are just video games and people will have different opinions and that is okay. Stop being so disgruntled and attacking others for not agreeing with you. Just like you say “don’t buy them” you don’t have to comment on someone that doesn’t agree with you. Problem solved in two seconds. This is my last comment to you on the matter. I don’t care if you respond and honestly I probably won’t read it. It’s okay to just walk away. People don’t always agree. Take the high road buddy and stop being a keyboard warrior.
@BlubberWhale I’m 46 and my reflexes are not what they were. Thanks for the words of wisdom mind. I do find them inspiring 👍🏻
Top of my list would definitely be the Sin & Punishment games. Star Successor for sure should have no problem translating over from Wii to Switch.
No mention of Wario World? That one could be expanded. Imagine a Mario Odyssey-esque Wario game where you're finding treasures.
Umm, where’s Wario World?
@Luigivaldo Glad to see someone remembers MM besides a mighty few. It's really a shame that it hasn't been re-released because it's a really fun game with quirky characters and interesting game mechanics.
@Darlinfan All the more reason for ROMs and Emulators to stay alive.
Treasure is the company who doesn’t really create any new concepts, but instead refines what had already been done, and makes it better. I love them because of that. Their games are just amazing because of it.
Also, no Wario World…? I always thought that game deserved another chance.
@SeantheDon29 this was going to be one of my points but then I stopped myself and was like “what’s the point?” LOL. Next thing ya know he/she(?) would be arguing about the morality of emulators… but I’m glad there are others with minds like mine 😉.
EDIT: I took the high road and blocked him.
With Square Enix re-releasing classic PSone games like SaGa Frontier and Legend of Mana bring the classic Treasure game Rakugaki Showtime to the Switch too.
Alien Soldier been one of my all-time favourites since I first found it on Wii Virtual Console, it one million percent needs more love.
@Skogur HELP ME, MARINAAAAAA
McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure would be brilliant, though it's held up in a legal hell that doesn't just apply to copyright.
@Tasuki
Yeah... After I left that comment I realized I forgot about that release.
@Luigivaldo Through fire justice is served!!
Treasure was a beloved studio, and my personal favorite of theirs is Radiant Silvergun, which I've been fortunate enough to experience on both the Sega Saturn as well as the XBLA version.
Another great developer that's deserving of a similar write-up is GameArts. While we're lucky to have the first two Grandia games on the Switch, they're also responsible for the LUNAR series, Gungriffon, and Silpheed. LUNAR: The Silver Star and LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue were both showcase titles for the Sega CD, and who knows how many copies of the PSX remake of the first game, LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete, were sold solely on the merits of that demo disc that culminated with Luna's Boat Song.
As for Silpheed, the original on Sega CD was ambitious in terms of its 3D polygonal presentation, but those visuals really got taken up a few notches with Silpheed: The Lost Planet on PS2. Those games were unfortunately unforgiving in difficulty and limited continues, though, so neither I nor I'd wager too many other gamers ever got to witness some of that splendor.
The truth is there are many smaller developers (Technosoft and SustemSoft Alpha were two of my other personal favorites) whose games would be welcomed with open arms on the Switch or any other platform. At the very least, articles like this one bring them up and spark conversations, and every once in awhile that manages to catch the attention of some publisher. So here's hoping we get another round with all of these gems.
Sin & Punishment 2 is my favorite Schmup of all time. The fact you control 3D characters shooting enemies as you fly through 3D environments on rails is so abnormal for a genre full of 2D ship shooters.
I'd be so happy if they brought that game to Switch, or better yet, made a sequel.
Silhouette Mirage, anyone?
I could really go for some six player versus in Guardian Heroes with my friends right about now...good times.
Astro Boy: Omega Factor and Guardian Heroes are the big ones for me. GH has a good port playable on modern Xboxes, so it's available enough, at least, but Astro, especially, would benefit from a port. The game is lovely, but pushes the poor GBA a bit too far, so just an emulated release isn't ideal.
Astro Boy on GBA will always be a favorite Treasure game. Sin and Punishment on the Wii was good stuff too.
Burning Rangers needs a port and a sequel with more anime style music. Bring back the rapper and all just to do new music.
Why I would love a Sin & Punishment 3, or even a Switch port of the second one. I would love for them to make a new Kid Icarus in the style of Uprising even more!
Sin and Punishment 2 is the best on rails shooter ever, would love a sequel.
Nobody ever wants games like Dark Souls 2 or 3 on Nintendo Switch!
When I bought Switch I thought it will set me free from Xbox and PlayStation. Guess I was wrong.
alien soldier was a complete masterpiece
Ports, Ports, Ports. No love for NEW games !?!?!?
It’s so strange that this article appeared when it did.
Yesterday I went on a bit of a ‘Treasure’ hunt, looking for old school game carts on eBay (a habit I’m trying my best to curtail of late). I was staring at Gunstar Heroes wondering if the price had dropped for the umpteenth time, when I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be awesome to see HD remakes of some of Treasures back catalogue. Lo and behold Nintendo Life takes my scattered thoughts and pops them online. Is it a sign? Probably not.
Gunstar Hero’s (Megadrive) and Guardian Hero’s (Saturn) are some of my all time favourite games. Someone tell Nintendo to buy them please. Their game roster is exceptional.
Great article btw.
Sad... A lot of these already were ported to the Wii Virtual Console.
@BloodNinja same experience.. really was hyped for it when it came to XBLA, but it felt empty.. didn't like the graphics style as well/// (but will give it another try..._)
ASTROBOY OMEGA FACTOR
@Sourcecode @Darlinfan Read your back and fourth. And while I agree, that its ok to have opinions and what not, Darlinfan is 100% right in this case. In most other cases maybe with nintendo first party games that keep getting re-ported, and saturation is at and all time high, I can see that port after port being unnecessary and maybe long winded. But we are talking about treasure games here, as Darlinfan pointed out, some of these games, have either not been ported, or are stuck on older hardware, or other platforms that are not accessible to others (I just finally was able to get xbl guardian heroes, having been more of a ps and nintendo guy up until that point), or priced astronomically. Emulating saturn/Dreamcast/N64 aside from the ethics is not for everyone, not easy, and in some cases to do correctly incurs hardware costs.
And if we are here as gamers, or gaming historians, some of these great games, that still hold up, might get relegated to obscurity if not brought fwd. Bangai-o or Sin and Punishment, or even the older games like alien soldier, or a good example, is Rakugaki show time. Younger gamers or people who did not have genesis/megadrive may not know the brilliance that is gunstar heroes, luckily thats pretty much available on everything. Mischief makers on the other hand is only available officially on, n64 (licensing issue nightmare, but the point stands). Ports, Remasters of Movies, reprints of books is a good thing. Keeps the history alive, and future game developers/movie creators/Authors can be inspired by the past, and make new classics.
They really are a fantastic developer. They certainly understand how to make fast paced engaging action games. The one game I played of theirs I didn't actually like was Dynamite Headdy, it just hurt my eyes, haha.
@Beetoe Xbox 360 Live Arcade had Bangai-O HD. It was a sequel to the DS Bangai-O Spirits
@SirAileron Thanks, I missed that. Still have my N64 and DC copy of the first release, somewhere I may have the gameboy version too but had no idea that there was another version.
I'd personally like a New Play Control style Sin and Punishment N64 but with the controls of Star Successor; both fantastic games, but SaP64's controls were ever the best and could use some improvement.
@Luigivaldo Licensing disaster that one, between Nintendo and Enix (pre merger I think), same goes for the other game they worked on, Rakugaki Showtime. Marina Light Years is in that game too.
As mentioned, Mischief Makers is apparently stuck in some licensing limbo, but as I understand it Treasure as a company now only exists as an entity to license ports of old games, they've got nothing but time, surely there's a way they can work it out so this masterpiece isn't lost to time forever.
I still regret not buying Radiant Silvergun back in the days when I spent all of my money on overpriced Sega Saturn games on eBay (which of course are now all WAY more expensive). Why is it not on Switch? WHY???? Also, "the only correct answer is of course 'All of them'" indeed.
Mischief Makers (N64)
This was/is still such a beautiful game. It was a huge step forward for rendered graphics, like a 64-bit Donkey Kong Country (and as you all know DKC was the best-looking game on the previous system) so it was a revelation seeing all the rotations and zooms, the screen-filling bosses and fantastically animated characters, tons of objects at once and stuff going on in the backgrounds without flashing sprites or stuttering framerate, and integrated 3D effects with no pop-up, and a wealthy fat variety in level design. It was the perfect showcase of next-level state-of-the-art 2D, but unfortunately the N64 didn't show much more afterwards. It was all about early 3D and nothing about high-end 2D. Should mention that this was also one of the few games running at 60fps (the only other N64 game I know of that ran at 60fps was F-Zero X).
Mischief Makers is one of my all-time favs. While other N64 hidden gems like Goemon, Body Harvest, Silicon Valley, and even most of the groundbreaking classics that you all know and love feel kinda sluggish nowadays, Mischief Makers doesn't seem to age at all. It's as perfect now as it was back then. It's truly a treasure and it's timeless. One of the best games ever made. 10/10
@Sourcecode You failed.
ALlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllL OF THEM!
One of the greatest development companies ever, no doubt. Aren't they defunct now, though?
It's late 2021 and Radiant Silvergun is still not on the Switch.
What about Radiant Silvergun Nintendolife? It’s by far treasures best game and already has a fantastic Xbox port. Never understood why they haven’t done this but ikaruga is on the system 😊
No Mischief Makers? For shame.
The biggest absence is Radiant Silvergun. It was planned for release on Switch after Ikaruga, but it hasn't happened yet.
https://www.destructoid.com/whats-this-treasure-might-be-releasing-radiant-silvergun-on-switch/
I don't know about treasure games but there are a bunch of games that I wish were on Switch
A Sky Full of Stars
Fallout 3 Remastered
Summer Pockets
Rewrite+
Anything published by Entergram (I know they get Switch releases in Asia but none have been localized in English)
Alan Wake Remastered (supposedly this is coming to Switch though)
Dead Island: Definitive Collection
Silent Hill HD Collection
Spec Ops: The Line
Singularity
The Evil Within 1 and 2
Snatcher
Chaos;Child / Chaos;Head Noah (coming next year and praying for an eventual localization)
Tsukihime (English localization)
The Quintessential Quintuplets (English localization)
Just to name a few
Short answer: all of them!
Treasure games are the s***
@JustMonika Hell yeah to The evil within games and fallout 3 or new vegas
@gazamataz ikaruga needs to be studied and performed like orchestral memorization bar by bar. not like ninja gaiden which hones cat-like reflexes, no memorization needed - which I found is natural and preferred. memorization? sheesh, seems more appropriate to have someone pay me to get good at ikaruga.
Kid Icarus Uprising is very close to a Treasure game in its game design. It's fast paced, feels super difficult but a good player has the potential to be invincible in it, the skill gap is huge.
Treasure was founded because Konami employees were sick of making so many sequels and wanted to create something new, eventually they broke their own rule, but they still avoid sequels.
I wish the biggest problem with the videogame industry was too much sequels.
It's a shame that Treasure basically died
@Tipehtfomottob just played Dynamite Headdy for the first time through the Genesis Switch online service and oh boy it's a fun platformer! It feels like a predecessor of Mischief Makers gameplay-wise, and probably an inspiration to Rayman and maybe Ristar? Anyway, solid gem that should be at least acknowledged.
Treasure haven't released a game since 2014, have they? That was Gaist Crusher on the 3DS in Japan only.
Sin and Punishment "2" is top of my most wanted list but others not mentioned are (off the top of my head):
Gradius V
Bleach Blade of Fate and Dark Souls
Not even close to enough people mentioning Gradius V. I’ll take a collection like Darius too…
@Schizor88 There's an ongoing rumor that Fallout 3 and New Vegas are getting an updated remaster for current consoles. We'll have to see.
Just want Sin and Punishment 2 HD. Or a 3rd entry.
Silhouette Mirage is an amazing platformer with a similar game mechanic to ikaruga.
As for gradius v, what are Konami doing? Get it released!!
Just buy a Wii
Guardian Heroes. Had so much fun with that juggling dead enemies in the air, not letting them hit the ground until we decided. Used to spend hours playing it with my brother, Japanese version too so I had no idea what the story was. Loved letting the Undead Hero run rampage.
Also Radiant Silvergun. Picked it up in Tokyo when it released, a far superior shootemup to Ikaruga.
silhouette mirage needs a rerelease badly Its one of there most hidden gems with great music attitude and story Since it was released in the same year as mischief makers ... and idk stretch panic i guess
