Wii Sports Club wasn't a sequel. It was a remaster.

That Hashimoto was involved in a Nintendo project which turned out to be Star Fox Zero.

I should also point out that Hashimoto had a pattern previously with Bayonetta 2 where he'd only retweet the Directs that had news on that game in them. Some developers have a habit which makes their projects easier to track.

Also didn't Sakurai retweet a Xenoblade Chronicles X direct and nothing Smash related was announced? Sometimes a retweet is just a retweet.

I'm going to have to look for that 'cause the only incident I've heard of was the inverse: a Xenoblade writer re-tweeting a Smash presentation. In his defense, he may have known that Shulk was in the game, but didn't know when he'd be revealed.

If I did have one hope for any Nintendo Direct really is a Paper Mario that goes back to what made Thousand Year Door so great and improve on it more. That would be pretty cool but I highly doubt there will be a new Paper Mario anytime soon.

Same. Disappointment sucks, doesn't it? Which is why I'm going to avoid making the same mistake I've made during the Digital Event and lower my expectations.

As long as:

Devil's Third release is cleared up
Smash DLC is announced or acknowledged
Future amiibo plans are outlined
There is a surprise announcement / release

I'll be a happy camper with the Direct. My expectations aren't crazy high, but I feel like they need a home run Direct right now.

Huge surprise game

You know, I actually do want to see Federation Force if only to see how badly this game bombs. But in general I'm not excited to hear more about this lineup.
