Gah! Nintendo trolled us hard, confirming a Nintendo Direct for tomorrow on their Twitter page and then deleting the Tweet no more than 10 minutes later. I almost fell for it, until I realized what day tomorrow is! xD

Lol @ me thinking mynintendo was gonna come with an OS update the wii u desperatly needs. Kind of.. Baffling with how its almost making its 4th year, and they never considered getting the OS up to snuff similar to xbox 360 dashboard and xmb. Nintendo is really slow with things like this.

Honestly with how slow nintendo is in developing things, the future doesnt look too bright imho. We would have had to feel a gradual upward swing if that wrre the case. Im not expecting soms instant magical switch changing it all with the NX for example.

@Neko_Ichigofan: Really? That sounds promising.I don't think they would go as far to troll us about something like that, that's just being cruel to their fans.Remember there was a Direct on 1st of April last year.If whoever is in charge of their tweets was just trolling though then I'm sure Reggie's boot has already met their backsides.

And that's the reason why I can't function properly early in the morning. First I was shocked to see Nintendo Life was merging with Kotaku, and just a minute later I read the title of thread and almost got a little excited again. I think I'll skip this day..

@Neko_Ichigofan was it a post by Nintendo or a retweet of last year's direct announcement?
I looked it up, but only found some April fool's jokes of people saying there was a new one, but referencing last year's one or retweeting it.

@Octane that's what I thought too when I saw this thread at the top of the forums haha.

@Grumblevolcano: really do hope they at least say something for their financial thing. Wonder how they'll go about revealing their e3 plans.

@Grumblevolcano: Well, who knows really? Can you imagine another full year of NX rumours? Would actually be pretty funny.

@Octane: peeps gun be mad when their e3 presentation isn't a live conference

@WebHead: I hope their E3 presentation isn't live

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

TuVictus

I don't really care if it's live or not, though a live conference would certainly be to their benefit as far as building hype goes.

Bring on the legendary giant crab battles for $600 and start preparing to get a second job, or just say "TVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTVTV" and try to fool people that you're onto something instead of just scamming them.

Oh wait sorry my bad only Nintendo drop the ball on console unveilings and I'm making up things there. Carry on, Nintendo will screw up, 100%. Just like that there Miitomo. Terrible. DoA.

Nintendo doing a live press conference would probably be the best thing to do if they show off the NX right, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do another prerecorded digital event since this is Nintendo.

Doesn't Nintendo have a knack for doing the unexpected?

@TheLastLugia: You are so silly. You forgot the part where the game was so focused on the history of Japan that it included giant enemy crabs

Really though. That haven't done a conference since 2012. There's nothing in a conference that can't be accomplished in a direct/digital event. They are also cheap and less likely to have errors and awkwardness. The presentation needs to be clean, clear, and concise above all else.

But the errors and awkwardness are what people remember the most...for better or for worse. Granted the 2014 Digital Event was fantastic and well remembered for me, and I enjoyed the skits of the 2015 one.
