Cube Life is its own game. It uses the same core ideas from Minecraft, but as far as I'm aware, all the code used to make the game is completely unique. They do not have anything that doesn't belong to them. They made a Minecraft clone, which is perfectly legal. That would be like McDonald's being able to take down any Burger Kings in the area because BK might hurt their sales. That's just capitalism.
I think the tantalus port has been canned and hoping people forget about it. It's the internet though, nobody forgets.
It's not canned. Just because we haven't heard from it in a while doesn't mean it's dead. Last Guardian isn't dead. Final Fantasy XV isn't dead. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem definitely isn't dead. Give Tantalus time.
I'm one of the people that really like Metroid Prime: Federation Force and Blast Ball. I like the visuals, I like a Metroid game where you get to be someone other than Samus, and I like the co-op FPS elements. I really want to see more during the direct. The only thing I don't like is the massive, and I mean massive amount of whining that has surrounded the game. So I hope if we get new details on MP:FF that the Direct has enough hype-worthy content to talk about that the complaining about how this Metroid game "isn't a Metroid game" is kept to a minimum.
Currently Playing: SMITE, ROTTR, Halo 5: Guardians (XB1), Xenoblade Chronicles X (WiiU), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 2 (3DS)
Apparently, reviewers are currently free to stream anything from Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, without any restrictions. This, combined with the news that things like Minecraft for Wii U is arriving, seems to point to that this Direct will not cover the known (announced) holiday game line-up.

At least we know the titles of those games (-_-)

A bit 'off-topic' but still...
My predictions for the Direct:
Twilight Princess HD
Something Splatoon related
SSB4 Smash Ballot characters
Some info about older but unreleased games (Star Fox Zero, Amiibo Festival etc.)
Some new eShop games
Some newly announced retail games
An obituary to Satoru Iwata (and probably Daisy seeing how few games she's been in recently XD)
Possibly something related to Pokemon? Not expecting Pokemon Z, but next year is the 20th anniversary, so I guess that we need something
EDIT: Oh yeah! Zelda U please!

What about Beyond Good and Evil 2, is that not dead too?
