Even though it appears to be a fantastic game, I already own the Wii version. Also, there's just too may other great games coming out on the 3DS and the Wii U to justify a purhase for me anyways.
Well, this was unexpected. I still haven't even played the first game even though I bought it months ago. It looks like I'll have some catching up to do.
This is a little strange, but I'm still going to download it even though I prefer physical copies. Besides, this one will be the first that I'll play in the series.
@TrueWiiMaster Preach on, brother!
But seriously, either way this could have gone, someone is going to be unhappy with the results and backlash Nintendo for doing so.
Almost everything from this Nintendo Direct was fantastic! In my opinion:
Most exciting moment: Link to the Past sequel
Most disappointing moment: Professor Layton 6 coming 2014 and no mention of PL vs AA
Level 5 made this vague post earlier today, so it looks like they may have something to do with this Nintendo Direct. Perhaps they'll reveal Guild 02 or PL vs AA?
Once again, another great interview NL. I've known that Christopher Robin Miller was Professor Layton's voice actor for a while now, but I've never seen an interview with him before.
P.S. When he says, "There may be something happening very soon, however "A true gentleman never reveals too much!" could he have been speaking about another Professor Layton movie?
Considering all of the games that are released in Japan and how many 3DS users there are, I can see why the sales are on the low side. However, I hope it will not affect it's localization to the west. @Everyone complaining about a yearly release, it didn't stop the COD and the FIFA series from continuing. Plus, it's not just another FPS. IMO, it's one of the most unique handheld series that I've played in a while. However, even if the 3DS series does come to an end, there will more than likely be more movies to follow the events of Unwound Future. Either way, I'm glad to have known the Professor!
The second issue of Nintendo Force is going to include an interview with Sean Velasco, the Captain behind Yacht Clubs Games, in case anybody wants to learn more about them. During the interview, he will also give be giving out the first look at Yacht Club's first game. https://www.facebook.com/NintendoForce
Despite the negative review it got on here, I think that I'll still give it a chance and purchase it, unless of course I win the contest for a free copy.
This is one of the best articles I've read in a while. The message is clear and to the point. Though it's easy to blame video games for the violence in society, there is even more positive things that come from them. Great piece @Jeff_Lowe!
I'm quite sad to see one of my favorite series go. However, like some of you mentioned before, I wouldn't be surprised if a spin-off is made. No matter what, though, it just will not be the same without the professor.
Despite of all the negative feedback, this article was only written for us to enjoy, not to discuss about any gamer stereotypes. Besides these Ninterviews are actually quite interesting if you read them. However, here is just a suggestion. I wouldn't mind seeing the staff on this site interviewing each other such as how he/she was introduced to Nintendo or how he/she began on the site. If it doesn't happen, though, thanks anyway!
Well, that esculated quickly.
Also, I feel sorry for @Philip_J_Reed. This whole comments section was just a debate regarding about hunting while nothing being mentioned had anything to do with the review itself. Somedays, it must really be a pain to be an editor.
It's about time that LM:DM got a solid release date. This game has been on my wishlist for months now. It's also a good thing that I still have my Gamestop giftcard from Christmas. I may not go broke after all!
$7.99 is a pretty reasonable price considering all of the extra content in this one than in the the original. @RenegadeJools Now, let's just hope that this one will sell more than 10 copies.
I bet that that the graphics will appear to be a lot better once the game is viewed on the 3DS system. Besides, you can never really tell how good a game is until you try it out yourself.
Lucky Japanese! It was only a few weeks ago when they received Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, and now they are already receiving the final game. Oh well, patience is a virtue after all. Anyways, I just hope that both will be released sometime this year but I highly doubt it.
For a second, I thought that this article would clear a lot of things up, but apparently it hasn't. Piracy still can not be justified to me. Either way, I'm still looking forward to ATV Wild Ride 3d and Mutant Mudds 2.
My top two picks out of this list are Professor Layton vs. Ace Attoney and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. My reasons behind this are because, to me, PLvs.AA will be one of the greatest crossovers I'll own, and LM 2 because Luigi is finally getting his much deserved sequel and another spot in the light.
He also asked a poll on Twitter if Mutant Mudds 2 should be on the e-Shop or if a compilation of both the first and second should also be sold as a cartridge. I wouldn't mind owning the combo on the cartridge itself considering I haven't bought the first yet. However, it has to have a fair price first. https://twitter.com/JoolsWatsham/status/286883880374509568
@Windy Yes, Jools Watsham had confirmed it on Twitter that it will have online multiplayer up to four people. Plus, he confirmed that it also has an online ranking leader board. https://twitter.com/JoolsWatsham/status/286275107314364417
These results, at least, seem like they will make the everyone who was complaining before about Kid Icarus Uprising happy, and as usual, I don't have any complaints here! Great job everybody!
Happy New Year to you as well James! Thanks for all of the great times throughtout my short stay on Nintendo Life. May you succeed in all of your projects throughout your occupation at NoE.
This was quite a great list from the beginning to the end. Plus, at least this one shouldn't spark heated debates unlike yesterday's post. Also, I will agree with most of the others that the forum section was a pleasant surprise. Though he may not be working on this site any longer, @James will still be missed. Finally, I'd personally like to thank all of the staff for making this site so great from the ones who started it to the ones who joined this year.
