Today at Nintendo's pre-E3 press conference, Reggie announced that the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will come in 2 versions, one for Gamecube and one for Nintendo Wii.

"It is by far the best Zelda game we've ever made" boasts Reggie, "This is the first Zelda game that will be right there on launch day alongside a new Nintendo system."

The game will release for both platforms on the same day as the new Nintendo Wii console, this date hasn't been finalised but has been confirmed as Quarter 4 2006.

We're not totally sure on all the details as to why there needs to be two versions, our guess is mainly the fact all the additional Wii code wouldn't fit on the smaller capacity Gamecube disc.

We'll keep you informed on this subject as more information slips through.
