I think it is always interesting to read these threads. You read months and months that people want something and then when it is there you can always find enough people that complain that it is actually there. I am happy for the US to receive a full box of nostalgia and computer games history. Some of the games are not perfect but were they perfect in the past ?
I have seen the new virtual console video on the Nintendo Channel, a guy called Jon Hare. I think he has at least one valid point, that we do not take care of the heritage of computer games. nice interview.
this is a very interesting discussion. I do see the Virtual Console as a very nice and interesting platform to revive your youth and not to have your living room full of various new and old consoles. On the one side I get a problem with space and on the other side with my wife I think most of my wishes for the VC have been said take Mario Kart and as I have been spending so much time on the Commodore machines my wishes are to see the Amiga as well. Nice titles to look forward to ! Hopefully it will happen. I have started to look into the Nintendo Channel during the holidays and has somebody else come across the C64 videos there ? I have found an interview with Ian Livingstone and John Rowlands (Mayhem in Monsterland) so far. Really funny to see how these guys look like now but still the passion from way back then in their hearts.
@ WarioFan63: I think that licensing for Europe or America should not make a big difference. Yes they are two different continents but they should have been that smart to make world wide deals directly.
MiM is lots of fun and taking into account that it squeezes every bit out of the C64 machine and uses some C64 bugs for their gameplay it plays a big part in C64 history.
@BassX0: I think you gave the answer to your 500 points problem of the VC yourself. I have heard that 500 points is the minimum price from Nintendo no matter which game it is. WiiWare is different from this, so you can not compare them regarding the points.
I do not know how many nights I spent in front my C64 playing IK+ ? You think it was a waste of time ? I think it was worth every second and I will be playing it from today onwards again maybe it is all about memories.
This game is surely something that the "younger" generation should have a look at. At the end it is really not all about graphics BUT gameplay. Paradroid is one of the games that I have been waiting for.

@Betagam7 , listening to what people actually say helps many times. 500 points for the games is what he says.

Re: Space Invaders: The Original Game

Re: Kaasa Interview - Commodore 64 on Virtual Console
I guess you can interpret a lot in the US answer but do I read some hope in those lines ?

Re: Mayhem in Monsterland
This game is so much fun, maybe some younger guys will enjoy it as well I like the concept of happy and unhappy version.

Re: Top 10 Puzzlers We Want To Come To The Virtual Console
Boulder Dash on the C64 would definitely be something ! Nice one !
Re: Top 10 Shmups We Want To Come To The Virtual Console
I would like to see Xenon 2 Megablast for the Amiga on the VC ! Hey, I hope I am still allowed to have some dreams
Re: The Last Ninja
If this comes out, then Last Ninja 2 and 3 must come as well. Hopefully soon ! I still think that The Last Ninja 2 is the best one of the sequel.
