I'll buy one when I get the money. Also I don't think people can emphasize how light the controller is. I tried it out yesterday and wow! I had heard how light it was but I didn't think it was going to be THAT light.

It's pretty hilarious that this guy is saying that nintendo needs to match other companies' tech.

Umm. Hello. They're a game company. They need to match other companies' games not tech(and they're not just matched, but the top in the market). That's like saying apple needs to match the competition's games. Their a tech company so they don't need to. Nintendo's a game company so they don't need to match the competition's tech. This only goes to a certain extent, though. They do need to be moderately caught up with the competition.

Re: Miyamoto: Nintendo Will Offer more Support To "Committed" Third Party Developers

@Malic You realize how difficult it is to find the perfect balance between realism and charm. And even harder to please everybody with the individual aspects of each game.

"The original zelda is too hard!" "Twilight princess is too easy" "Twilight princess is too big!" "Skyward sword is too small!" "We want an orchestrated soundtrack!" "Now the soundtrack sucks, go back to midi!"
As you can see, not everyone can be happy.

The only thing I would like nintendo to do with zelda, is decide what they want the series to be. They once said they want to find a way that everyone can play the games. Leave that to mario and let zelda handle the big boy stuff.

Well it depends on how risky devs are. If the next sony and microsoft systems are insanely powerful, devs might not want to create games for them since it'll be more expensive to develop for.

Also most people, hopefully devs too, think the wii u is going to do well while the other systems will suffer from their price. Nobody thought the wii was going to do well and then it skyrocketed in sales. I remember reading an article that said a lot of devs passed up an incredible opportunity by not developing for the wii. Maybe they'll think differently this gen.

Re: Feature: Reinventing Nintendo's Legacy Franchises on Wii U

I've never played earthbound before but it sounds interesting.

And this kind of relates to the other article of reinventing their major franchises, but I think it would benefit star fox greatly if it took some inspiration from star wars: battlefront 2. Mainly the galactic conquest. If they made a star fox game with something like that and online, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

@Slapshot I don't have any loyalty to one company. Sometimes I hate nintendo when they mess up something simple or make a bad choice. Sometimes I love microsoft for some of their decisions or games. The only company I don't like or at least have no interest in is sony, I admit it. As for my "proof for what I was claiming", part of it was my opinion. And for solid proof, Discostew pretty much summed it up. And sony isn't the best at learning from their mistakes.

Arguing about "hardcore" and "casual" is about as pointless as arguing about evolution and Christianity. Each side is going to defend their own beliefs and won't ever except the other side's evidence. And now to consult the new american oxford dictionary: hardcore; noun; the most active, committed, or doctrinaire members of a group or movement. Casual; adjective; not regular or permanent. So according to the dictionary there is no such thing as a hardcore or casual game. Only a hardcore or casual gamer.
