All this device needs is to send the output sound & video from the master SNES unit over the 'net to the slave controller box. There's no need to use two Super Nintendo units if the video and sound are transmitted back to the person who had the slave box.
Syncing is also an issue with using other methods to play multiplayer SNES online. I don't see why it's so hard to do! Just pipe the audio/video; don't try to sync the source machines!
