@Cyz Exactly. This Switch fanboydom is getting cringeworthy. The Wii version looks much more better and based, the Switch version looks literally like a flat 2D anime cartoon you see on TV. Offputting and boring.
@TruthBeTold Yes but, couldn't they host the old metadata on server just for the purposes of someone wanting to watch their old replays? Why is it such a problem, there is no need to discard the old metadata entirely from existence forever. It doesn't need to stay on console, it could be hosted on the on-demand server location.
@JRTH luckily Nintendo has fans dedicated enough who actually pulled it off. As most of you might know by now, the Wii and DS Wi-Fi games can be played online again via alternative "Wiimmfi" server. Google it up
@Yorumi Agreed. Same issue was with Wii motion controls. They pulled it off in Skyward Sword and a few more, and that was it. I guess the same is to be expected this gen as well, yet only a few titles, or maybe even one single title that lives up to the potential
@5ony Hi, I believe it was me, on MyNintendoNews site, thanks for reading my comment! Yes, including the wiimote in the bundle surely makes the experience better for a fresh adopter, that is - for a person who specifically wanted to experience what the Wii was about out-of-the-box. I agree with your gamecube example, it sure would be strange if the gc controller was included with the original Wii. This simply underlines the fact that Wii and Wii U are not similar 'out of the box', which is perfectly all right. Therefore I think including a wiimote changes that a whole lot for a fresh adopter.
Oh, I never intended to skip the Wii U, I'm just taking my time with the Wii first. It turned out quite allright, more interesting bundles, prices and game titles are on the way for the Wii u, it won't run away anywhere.

@ReshiramZekrom I know that CoD Black Ops online still works on Wii. Probably other Activision games as well. GoldenEye like said above.
