regarding internal storage space, 32GB is more than enough for the 'casual' owner - the people who bought a wii with wii sports, and then got just dance 2 for it a year or two later.
just like a previous commenter, I bought a 2TB external drive (was £80) for my wii u and I know that will last me for the lifetime of the system.
regarding 'last gen'/'next gen': I've always had a Nintendo console for the unique games, and a super PC for the graphics. been doing it since the gamecube. any xbone/ps4 claims of technical superiority are just laughed at by the PC. with a PC and a wii u then you have the best of both worlds. with the other consoles you sort of have a mediocre experience: graphics aren't up to PC quality, and gameplay's not up to Nintendo quality (winking smiley means that comment was said tongue in cheek, i'm obviously acutely aware that all systems have good and bad games, those games can have good or bad graphics, and that graphics does not equal gameplay!)
the wii u looks great: PC gaming friends of mine tell me how amazing the graphics in pikmin 3 look, for instance.
2DS - just bring it out in Japan so I can import it!
ok having thought about it a little bit, one of these would make a relatively cheap import games machine, so I might pick up a Japanese one so I can play the new Band Bros.
it's just a shame there're no plans to release it in Japan yet!
WT-effing-F?! this is NOT what I meant when I commented the other day about waiting for a hardware refresh... where is the 3DS 'Lite'? Or the 3DSi? what IS this? wii mini, now this...what's happening to Nintendo? is it the year of Luigi that's causing all this craziness?!
yes yes yes! a thousand times yes! back in the good old region-free days of the DS, I picked up the first one, the song expansion pack, and the second one. I still play them regularly because they're such great games. multiplayer is hilarious! almost tempted to import a Japanese 3DS for this, but will probably wait for the inevitable hardware refresh and get a Japanese 3DS lite / 3DSi
The original Daigasso Band Brothers was the game that started me importing. Bought the GBA cart song expansion pack and then the sequel, because it was the best game ever. Of course back then I could play the Japanese game on my European DS. What to do this time?!
A few years ago I got a 'Neural Impulse Actuator', made by OCZ but now discontinued: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neural_Impulse_Actuator It works, but it's really hard to use without a lot of time-consuming training.
This was released several years ago, so it's possible to do right now, and I'm sure the technology has improved a lot since the NIA came out.
@readyletsgo look at the news page. 25 posts over the last two days. 4 of them are AC-related. that's 16% of posts. not very many, really, is it? maybe your bookmark for NL is the page https://www.nintendolife.com/tags/animal+crossing and you don't see any other posts? ;-p
EU download version is available if you have a code (I bought from game.co.uk earlier today - the code didn't work straight away but just tried it again and i'm downloading now!)

Re: Harvest Moon: A New Beginning Finally Sowing Its Seed In Europe This September
@Victoria I was going to ask the same! I would have imported it when it came out in NA if 3DS wasn't region locked
What would be great is if they ported the Gamecube Harvest Moon to 3DS - that was my favourite one of the series...
