@Windy Did you read this article? Nintendo consoles do run smoothly most of the time. It says: "the issue is due to a high amount of traffic and new users trying to access the Nintendo Network." That doesn't happen every day; It's only been like that for a few days.

@dmoura617 If you live in the US, like me, the eShop is off from 4 PM to 4 AM. Europe is 10 AM to 10 PM.

The 3DS eShop is working here in the US. I just downloaded A Link Between Worlds which came with my 3DS XL bundle

My 3DS says the eShop is under maintenance still
