@Automated_Unit_4937 Ion Fury/Maiden was essentially the Build Engine pushed to its limits. Or are you referring to Bombshell, which is chronologically after this game?
>obvious magazine pun >cheap joke about playing it one-handed With those out of the way, this is a cool bit of video gaming history I've never heard of before.
Would the device have taken cartridges for different games or would it have been a one-game system? IF it had gone to further development and production, how much more would the MSRP have been compared to the Game Boy at the time and its competitor systems?
@Waluigi451 "most 3DS eshop games are up on the website" Are there any big ticket items on the eShop that aren't available on the website? I'm using the UK website for my purchases, so I don't know if region differences count here.
@Kimyonaakuma I've actually made a spreadsheet of all the exclusive games for the 3DS and WiiU that interest me, ranking them by said interest. I've made a purchase schedule for what's not eliminated, dividing the total remaining euro value for the library by month. If any of the titles end up rereleased/remastered on the Switch or PC, they go off the list. If there's a sale noticed by PSPrices, I'll deviate from the schedule. I expect just enough life from the consoles to go through them all, especially when I buy some spare parts. It's either that or jumping to emulation, and I'd prefer to go for the "legal" option first.
@Jumping_Dead I've been worried about that too, but as long as your consoles are linked to your account, I suppose it'll be alright. Whenever I buy anything for the 3DS on the UK site, the gift boxes appear instantly on the device.
@TommyWhite That's also a bit of a worry. Some titles might be too obscure to warrant a rerelease. Though with services like Antstream and the big three having their own streaming services for their consoles, I hope more companies start streaming retro titles without it becoming a mess of exclusivities
You know, everyone's talking about buying through the eShop, but here I am, buying my Nintendo games pretty much exclusively through the UK site... I'm convinced that the games there will be available until March, but I'm starting to have doubts. I mean, it's not through the app, I pay directly with my credit card or PayPal, so it's all good, right?
@Aerona There has been the occasional sale on 3DS. Nothing big, just a few titles at a time. I suggest keeping an eye on some tracking sites like Dekudeals or PSPrices.
@Mayro82833u The animation's on youtube. I watched it a few months back, and noticed that a lot of stuff that could be considered Mario "lore" was already there. Also a lot of stuff that was shoehorned in because of the medium as a children's animation with obligatory musical numbers.
I still have the VHS. It was entertaining enough to fulfill the "we'll only buy it if we'll watch it ten times" rule the family had about home media at the time.
Are there any eShop games that aren't up for purchase on Nintendo's site? I've bought the vast majority of my digital copies from nintendo.co.uk rather than the consoles' own eShop apps.
Played the original XBOX title many times through with my friends. So much fun to be had. It's a shame there's no online support for the remake, and that I think is the biggest minus for this.
Oh, if you do get this, remember to keep an extra set of leather armor and wooden weapon+shield in your inventory. There are rust monsters.

Re: Switch Online N64 Controllers Are Back In Stock Now (UK)
Thu 15th Sep, 2022 18:50 BST: available again
Fri 16th Sep, 2022 08:42 EET: gone again
I've determined my retro-bit controller works with the games on Switch, so no biggie anymore.
