@JumpingJackson If they are not worth it, people won't buy them. But for some people, they higher prices are worth it. It's all subjective. If there was a brand new open world Zelda being released with the launch, I would happily pay $100+ for it. It would be worth every penny.
Rising prices stink, however, this almost exactly trends with inflation (at least measured in the US). S1 was released in early 2017 for $300. If you use an inflation calculator, that's nearly $400 today. Plus you're getting a significantly better product. Also, a $60 game in 2017 would be $78 today. It's not Nintendo being greedy, it's governments increasing the money supply.
