@Eel you're trying to weasel out of what I said. I was extremely clear, concise and SPECIFIC in what I said so your comment doesn't mean anything. I intentionally laid out my points in a way where you guys could not twist them which is why I'm being so hostile when you guys consistently cut out words, phrases and sometimes multiple sentences of mine in order to a argue with me.

@Eel it's not that "I decide what's game breaking" it's that "game breaking" has a meaning already. If game breaking means "literally any bug in a game" then what's the point of calling it a "game breaking" bug?

You're looking at something with a qualifying statement and saying that the qualifier has no meaning at all and that's an issue.

@Eel the first thing is not game breaking. The second is not this generation. You're just continually proving that you didn't actually read what I said and you're just fishing for excuses.

@Eel game breaking means the game ceases to be functional. IE: an event being entirely unable to load in all circumstances. It's kinda odd you bring up glitches in general which will never be 100% removed then acknowledge that I said game breaking in your last sentence.

Activision and Ubisoft are extremely hated by the wider gaming community and often seen as the worst devs/publishers around.

2k is average but gets more than it's fair share of criticism.

Nintendo titles rarely have game breaking bugs. I can't think of any from this generation that weren't from Game Freak

The problem is people like you give GameFreak a pass for everything they do. These other companies don't get a pass for their bad behavior but in your mind if anyone points out that SwSh has been a complete crap shoot from start to finish then they're just a mindless hater.

Second off, yes, they took interest in a THEORY and it was pretty much shot down. "Our THEORY was wrong" is not a story no matter how mad you get at people got pointing it out.

I'd just like to point out for the comments section that anyone mentioning the "legal aspect" should probably stop because you have literally no idea what you're talking about. It could never apply in this situation for numerous reasons and cameos of people happen in games constantly. Two factors are extremely important in deciding it.
1. Direct visuals, does it look like them.
2. Marketing. Is their likeness used in marketing the product or as a major selling point.

So your way isn't the only way but ways that aren't your way are invalid and shouldn't be listened to? Again, my first reply to you still stands. You can't keep saying your open to other ways while in the and comment saying all other ways are invalid. It's just covering your rear and it doesn't work on anyone that actually reads your comments completely.

@glenny3214 it's not an argument. I'm explaining to you that you don't understand the law. There is no argument to be had, you are factually wrong in your legal argument. This isn't a debate or a fight. When it comes to law, you are wrong. End of story. You have to form a new argument based on the actual law now.

@TheNewButler you are aware that despite saying you aren't trashing negative reviews, you're literally saying that if someone doesn't criticize something in a way you personally find acceptable then their opinions are actually invalid.

You need to consider what you say before you say it because you've not helped your case at all. Reviewbombs happen because companies do stupid things that need to be called out in mass and fixed. By saying "this made a ton of people mad, but because they voiced their opinion in a way I don't like they suddenly don't have a real reason to be mad."

This is just fallacious argumentation. It's the equivalent of saying "you mad bro" as if that's intended to do anything but dismiss someone.

@satanicangel "steal" when referring to intellectual property means you are denying sales to the main product. This is infringement, not theft, and most people agree the idea of infringement is archaic, stupid and stifling. It is a concept that solely exists because Disney pays millions in lobbying to keep it active.

It's inherently immoral and only illegal in name. Almost no business actually enforces it.

Why is it that everyone who likes Nintendo products sees every lawsuit they do as morally correct? It's not. There's a reason literally no other company pulls crap like this. It's inherently bad for the community and bad for the game. It looks bad and it's nuking free promotion.

@Wesbert unfortunately, review bombing does not work specifically on Nintendo because as nice as this community is, it's extremely toxic because of how loyal they are to corporate. It's impossible to question Nintendo or their practices without being shouted down by legitimate fanboys that say all criticism can't exist because I'll hurt daddy Nintendo's bottom line.

If you see a bunch of negative scores come in and your first thought is "well screw literally all of those people. We'll do what we want" then you're not in the right business. Go make edgy flash games on newgrounds because that's the real community you want. Edgelords putting out mediocre games solely for negative reactions.

@mesome713 I'm amazed comments like this are recieved well instead of being ridiculed. Hacking a game, especially a single player game, should be your right as a consumer. You all have this very childish idea that hacking is cheating.

Hacking is literally altering any data at all. Is there a character that didn't return in the new game? If you mod the game to add them back in, that's a hack. Is your copy completely broken because of some random software issue? If you fix it, that's hacking.

You know the entire Skyrim modding page? That's all technically hacking. Some games are only popular because of this hackability. This is ignoring the fact that it's completely ridiculous to refer to friggin data miners and modders as "the scum of the Earth" when they're some of the most important cornerstones of the gaming community.
