Seriously, Zelda has always been open world in its roots. I don't get what people are mad about. BotW and TotK are the culmination of where Zelda was always headed. Strict, linear adventures are passé, you can do them, but they're a minority program. Open world with freedom of exploration is where it's at. Ocarina was basically an a mix between open world and linear. Anyone here arguing against Ocarina? Get with the times, people. And whoever misses "plot" in Zelda games, doesn't really get them. There's no plot in Nintendo games. It's all about atmosphere.
