Not going to lie, I was very iffy I even buying MK World(13 characters locked behind being hit by an item, really?) due to the price among some of the stupid unlock systems(see above), but the fact they did this ruins any want to buy this game when I have 8 Deluxe I can play. It really feels they took a 'one step forward and two steps back' approach with World honestly. About the only way I might buy the game now is if it's on sale(which let's be real, ain't happening) or if they actually allow people to have fun in this game and actually let you do 3 lap races on a track normally, you know, like past flipping games in the series! If I get a Switch 2, I will likely just get Yakuza 0 and the Agent 47 game and skip MK World myself, sadly.
I have to go with both. I enjoyed how funny the golfing shrine in BotW(if you know, you know) and just how much you can mess with enemies in TotK and how much better getting around is(thank goodness for the frog armor that lets you laugh at rain). I even decided to do the tutorial area in BotW with the Master Mode thing to prepare for when TotK came out.
I got around halfway before I had an Alpha glitch the turn timeline and kill my starter(I picked Samurott). I had no intention to finish after that. I also was getting annoying by that point of about my inventory constantly being full(even with not grabbing every item) and that was even with only carrying a couple of PokeBall as well. I don't mind a Pokemon game being difficult but when the game goes out of the way to be difficult by cheating (This isn't Mario Party for crying out loud) and ruin my fun, it makes me not want to finish it as a result. It is also why I low expectations about the second Legends game(reminds me of when I didn't feel like playing Scarlet/Violet because I found Gen 8 boring).
