This short-sighted, short-termed culture we exist in annoys me to no end, never mind just the games industry. Look at the celebrations that occurred when they found more oil in California...
Repost, wasn't paying attention to more recent articles I don't why people are doom-mongering about the Wii U?! Games are coming.. Wonderful 101, Pikmin, Sonic, Mario 3D World, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Smash, Bayonetta, Wind Waker, SMTxFE, X (as well as the apparent unannounced games coming out next year) including backwards compatibility with games such as Skyward Sword, the Galaxy games, Xenoblade for people who may not have played them first time around... Either the anonymity of the internet is showing, people are being outrageously short-sighted or I'm missing something big. I see no reason as to why Nintendo should give up on the Wii U.

I certainly think so. I'll be purchasing a Wii U in the near future, as well as buying a few Wii games to tide me over to the flood of first-party AAA games coming this autumn/winter.
Well, I'm not an investment expert and I KNOW that "Nintendo Earnings Miss Will Trigger Multi-Platform Approach" will not happen.
This is an extremely short-termist viewpoint, typically Western and one that will do no good for the image of Nintendo. I trust Iwata and his policies 100%.
I'm really not too bothered about region locking.. most decent Japanese games are localised to where I live anyway.. The only time where RL grinds my gears is when games are delayed, such as Fire Emblem or take an excessively long time to be localised, such as Bravely Default (which I hope they keep the name, I love it personally).

Re: UK Retailer GAME Less Than Happy With Rivals Ignoring Pokémon X & Y Street Date
I got it before the 12th from GAME. Shame though, proper launches for massive games are always fun.
Re: US Retailer Lists Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon For Wii U
This is the game that the Wii U deserves, but not the one it needs right now.
Re: Doublade Revealed for Pokémon X & Y, an Evolution of Honedge
May name mine 'Athena'...
Please say someone else has played Spartan: Total Warrior...

Re: CoroCoro Magazine Reveals Pokémon X & Y Starter Evolutions, Mega Mewtwo X and New 'Mon
Eww. What have they done to Fennekin?!
Re: Nintendo 2DS is Actually Made With Just One Screen
Fair enough, I guess. As pointless as it may seem to us, releasing it alongside Pokémon..? Genius.
Re: HackYourConsole.com Goes Offline and Closes Pre-Orders
Cheerio!
Re: Rumour: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Trailer Shows a Special Edition Wii U Design
Phwoar.. The things I'd do to have that and the Zelda 3DS, too.
Re: Sonic Lost World Deadly Six Bonus Edition Confirmed For North America and Europe
@Emblem
Somehow, I can't see this getting bad reviews, at all.
This is probably the game that I've been the most hyped for, ever. Big shout, but true.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Download Sails Away With 2.6GB of Memory
SO hyped for this. I was late jumping onto the Nintendo home console bandwagon, so this'll be my first go at Wind Waker.
Re: First Impressions: Sonic Lost World (3DS)
@Sanqet
You can't blame a game for CTS.. Blame yourself for not stopping playing when you felt symptoms. Sorry, harsh, but true, I'm afraid.
Re: Satoru Iwata Refutes Claim That Nintendo Is "Suffering" Right Now
^ I believe you mean patience, but patents are important too.
Re: Satoru Iwata Refutes Claim That Nintendo Is "Suffering" Right Now
@Moshugan
They say it sucks, huh?
Well, I'm gunna stand up for my Wii!
Re: Satoru Iwata Refutes Claim That Nintendo Is "Suffering" Right Now
Agreed with the last two points ^^

Re: 3DS UK Success in 2013 Offset by Abysmal Wii U Figures
Well, it's not gunna buy itself, so like @Mr_Vengeance, I'll get one in the near future too :3

I certainly think so. I'll be purchasing a Wii U in the near future, as well as buying a few Wii games to tide me over to the flood of first-party AAA games coming this autumn/winter.
Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Optimistic About The Future of Wii U
The 3DS took Mario Kart, 3D Land and a price drop to start selling. Now it's kicking ass and taking names.
The Wii U's getting Pikmin, Sonic, 3D World, W101, DK, MK and SSB. I'm sure it'll do just fine in the end.
(Though a price drop would be lovely)
Re: Nintendo: Wii U Fire Emblem Would Need To Sell 700K To Justify The Effort
Hmm... The current drought of games means that Wii U owners may be so desperate for new games that they'll all flock to buy a new FE game
Re: One Piece: Romance Dawn Won't Be Sailing To North America
Even though it'll be translated into English, Spanish and French for us Europeans...
Oh, region locking. Thou art moderately annoying.
Re: Investment Expert Feels Nintendo Earnings Miss Will Trigger Multi-Platform Approach
@SMT4Protag
Well, given Diamond and Pearl sold 1.5m copies in its first week in Japan alone, you may have a point ;D Not to mention its proximity to Xmas.
Re: Investment Expert Feels Nintendo Earnings Miss Will Trigger Multi-Platform Approach
@willweinert
Yeah, disregard that paragraph... Guy's speaking out of his a*se..
I estimate the 3DS will top 40m sales by the end of Xmas
