The A57 and A78 cores are not compatible but still very similar and that's the reason they don't have to use emulation. With an emulator Switch 1 games would not run better on the Switch 2 like some games even without a next gen version still run at 60 fps through backwards compatibility.
@Theamazing1 Because the Zen 2 CPU cores used in PS5 and Xbox Series are natively backwards compatible with the AMD Jaguar cores in PS4 and Xbox One. For the Switch 2 they use a translation layer to play Switch 1 games.
