@Mando44646 Amen. One reason I always have a Nintendo console is specifically for physical purchases. Cloud doesn't even run well on Switch - I tried the Control cloud beta and it was garbage even over a LAN connection.
The story of Final Fantasy VII is still one of the best in the series. However like the review states, the software is just showing it's age. Unlike a Mario game or other 8 or 16 bit games, the choice to use (now antiquated) 3D here makes the game look and more importantly feel old. I'd really only recommend it for people who haven't played at all, to check this off their list.
I don't mind - I actually think exclusivity is mildly anti-consumer but that's just me. I get the business realities behind it but it still sucks. Switch is my prefered platform, but if someone invests $1k-1500 on a decent gaming rig, I don't see why they should have to spend an extra $300 just to play Octopath Traveler. The reverse is also true - even though I have a PS4 I'm insanely glad Monster Hunter came to PC and saved me from buying a PS4 Pro to get that sweet sweet 60 fps.
As a new reviewer you kindof hit the nail on the head NL...there's just SO MANY GAMES out there right now. Part of why I want to review games is...dude Switch games aint cheap and time is at a premium. The Switch is an awesome system but damn man, two years on the lineup is crammed with actually playable content.
