Honestly? I don't have a problem with the whole Free To Start thing. It's way better than all of the other attempts Nintendo made. They also cared about making it be a lot fairer: if you buy no gapples (gem apples) shoppe magolor tells you that you need 50 for the tree to grow: if you buy 200 gapples green magolor still tells you that you need 50! A blatant dick move would be that you needed to buy 300 gapples for tree growth but that's not the case at all! Also, don't go for the 4000 gapples. The MAX pack costs only a bit more and gives you 2000 gapples every harvest instead of like 450.
