Squid Sisters To Debut New Song At Splatoon 3's Next Splatfest, Here's A Sneak Peek

Nintendo hasn't completely forgotten about the Squid Sisters. The recent Splatoon 3 DLC saw them make a return and now in a surprise update, they'll be debuting a new song.

It's officially titled 'Tomorrow's Nostalgia Today' and there's been a video clip of it uploaded on Nintendo's official YouTube channel. Here's a sneak peek! Note: This will require you to have access to the Expansion Pack DLC.

Nintendo has also released a remix of the song 'City of Color', which will also be performed at the upcoming Splatfests at Inkopolis:

In addition to this, Nintendo has revealed a new Wave of My Splatoon 3-themed My Nintendo icons:

Do you need the dlc to see this. So far there isn’t much about the dlc to warrant a purchase of it. I don’t think this would be enough to convince me.

The Squid Sisters are a long way from forgotten! They were central to the single-player campaign after all. It’s Pearl and Marina who’s comeback we’re really waiting for with the second batch of DLC.

There have been rumors of an anime or something seeing both of them are still under contract but weren't part of the last concert ... and while that would have been great, I'm thrilled to see they are still making music.

The vocal and melodic layers haven't changed much, they are utilizing the same common progressions from their other music pretty heavily, but everything else is a radical departure. Really catches that feel of something nostalgic wrapped up to look "fresh". It's amazing how well Splatoon tells it's story though music. I guess the art book will explain how Marie got back into the idol scene.

@Koda1000 The Squid Sisters perform in Inkopolis so yes you need the DLC for this. It's stated in the article too.

@Koda1000 wave 1 of the dlc is definitely only a nostalgia bonus not meant for pull in newcomers. so unless your curious about wii u era splatoon your best bet is waiting on wave 2 info to see if that pulls you in, which seems to be an actual new story side mode

I don’t really get how people have nostalgia for 2015. It wasn’t that long ago, and I know people younger than me that are nostalgic for 2017, I don’t get it.

It's so nice to see the Squid Sisters back again after it felt like they were semi-retired in Splatoon 2. Looking forward to hearing them in-game again as well as experiencing Inkopolis Plaza in a Splatfest again. Still think Inkopolis should've just been part of the recent big update but Side Order is what we're really paying for anyway.
