Played loads of motion controlled games using the joycon's, never used the wrist strap and still no issues, how hard are people swinging these things.

I could kind of understand this with the Wii remotes, but the joycon just fit into your hand, no issues if you hold them correctly. And if you are struggling to grasp the concept of holding the accessory, then there are the wrist straps, even more funny is harder swings do not usually equal more speed etc, more measured movements are always best.

Pretty sure in the general scheme of things tennis players very rarely let go of their rackets during play, sure it happens occasionally, but is an exception to the rule.

I just do not see any issues with the small joycon controllers, as they are pretty compact and nowhere near the weight and size of a Wii remotes.

I'm gonna say that, at this point in time, if a report of a broken TV screen for playing Wii/Switch Sports pops up online it's probably intentional. I mean, were there reports of broken screens during the Online Play Test? Yeah, I know they were rather short, but you get my point.
