Splitgate - a free-to-play fast-paced multiplayer shooter described as "Halo meets Portal" - could potentially be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the future.
In a Q&A on Twitch earlier this week, developer 1047 Games explained how making Splitgate as accessible as possible was a major part of the plans Here's exactly what the company CEO Ian Proulx had to say:
"We haven't started on it, but...Part of the vision is we want to be available on everything. We want to be available on mobile, Switch--I mean, everything."
The success of Splitgate's beta last month surprised the developer, the downside was the servers weren't able to cope with the sheer volume of players and the game got delayed.

I’ve been having a blast with this game on ps4, it’s definitely one of the best, if not the best free to play shooter out there, so being able to play it on and off a tv would be pretty fun

I’ve been trying on Xbox but says servers are down.
if it had motion controls so you can point your portals with one joycon and shoot with other while the joysticks controlled movement and camera I'd give it a go

@Thaswizz @Xiovanni The servers are now up again on all platforms with about 0-5 min queue times. They had a massive problem at the start because their server capacity was only about 20,000 with 10x that many players trying to get in causing 2 hour queue times.

imagine shooting a guy and someone shoots a portal at your feet and you die from a great fall (if there is fall damage)
@mantarobuster300 all free games are at least worth 1 try because they are free after all, not losing anything by trying them
This game is great, been playing on Xbox every night. Servers have improved, maybe down to two min wait vs the 10-15 they once had. Log in and grab a drink. This coming on the Switch would be great. Expand that player base!

THIS GAME IS PHENOMENAL!!
I haven't had this much fun with FPS multiplayer since the days of Goldeneye and TimeSplitters. Adding portals to a shooter is so brilliant, and I feel so awesome shooting people from the safety of halfway across the map. Also, the controls of everything feel perfect to me. Very satisfying movement.
PLEASE COME TO SWITCH! I will pay money for this.
