However you slice it, June had a lot going on for us Switch fans, especially in the first half of the month with E3 and Summer Game Fest including plenty of news and reveals. The E3 Nintendo Direct was at the heart of things, of course.
Nintendo has released an official 'Monthly Rewind' to remind us of some showcase moments and releases of the past month. Sure, reveals of games like Metroid Dread may already feel like the distant past, but it's easy to forget just how much big news we've had recently around Switch.

I like the rewinds, they are very informative. Especially in a year like this, where things happen every month. It's almost like 2017!
Looking forward to a LOT of games . 2021 feels like a year with a lot of releases tailored for me. Feels very good!
Gonna need a dump truck and a backhoe to dig out of this backlog. 2021 has been a tsunami so far.
June is already a disappointment for me. I had been waiting for Mario Golf thinking that will keep my Switch alive for a good while. But it had the worst reviews for a big Nintendo game in a long while.
Next release is an old full price Zelda port this month.
These Rewind videos are smoke and mirror attempts to mask the poor showing of Nintendo games by adding third party releases.
Furukawa really put his money where his mouth was when he said they keep pushing in the face of a nose dive. He doesn't get too comfortable even when the switch is the best selling system. The whole narrative of Nintendo going easy and doing nothing when they're succeeding was nothing but talk especially during the Wii U days.
