The Switch eShop has had quite a few games in the Warhammer universe already, and the next in line is Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. This one is a turn-based strategic combat title that's due out on 27th May, and it looks quite promising.
In this case the solo campaigns allow you to choose between three different factions for each run, which naturally serves up a variety of different paths, unit types and challenges. There'll also be a multiplayer mode where you can go into battle online, gradually building up and evolving your forces.
Publisher Focus Home Interactive has posted a decent gameplay overview video to give you a taste of what it'll have to offer.
Though the Switch version may not look quite as swish as some other platforms, this could be a pretty decent strategy game for the system.

I LOVE Warhammer! I make some of my money designing and painting custom armies and such.
This looks really good, I love turn based strategy games. I havent played any war hammer games before, is this like fire emblem, gameplay wise? Cause if it is, this day one for me.
Looking forward to this, it reminds me of the Underworld board games.
I would like it on Switch for the portability but will likely get it on xbox or PlayStation as NSO is massively lacking and I will mostly play this with others.
It looks interesting but not sold on the three factions being versions of Zombie, Skeleton, Ghost. They didn’t click with me.
If they had good old fashioned Chaos Knights as a faction I'd be all over this game.
This reminds me I need to get back to Mechanicus at some point.
Looks sooo good! Does anyone know if it's a full game experience or cluttered by ingame purchases. When I hear the word "cards" I'm always a bit sceptical... not that I don't like card games but they're almost ever money sinks.
Please be good!
Looks pretty decent to be fair but I have no affinity for Age of Sigmar and the factions don't appeal too much.
