When we've already posted a story about the March 31 delistings ...
Probably not gonna pick any of these up, but those are some pretty good deals. Although I do see most of those games on sale often.
Anyone new to the Switch that hasn't gotten Mario+Rabbids, it's a great game. I don't even like turn based games, and I loved it! It's one of the few games I've completed.
The rebel collection is great value for money.
I am really enjoying Immortals Fenyx Rising! I highly recommend it for BOTW fans.
You can also find the physical version for $30, so a great price either way.
Finally decided to pick up Mario + Rabbids at that price. Couldn't resist an 83% price cut.
All of these sales means it's time to check the wishlist to see what else has a discount too.
I wish Ubisoft would bring Rayman Origins to Switch. I would buy it in a heartbeat. I like it a lot better than Legends.
I own Origins on PC and Wii, but would much rather play it on Switch.
You finally got me with Mario+Rabbids. Been eyeing it whenever it came down to $20 and passed it up, but now you've got me.
I swear only Ubisoft knows how to do sales on Nintendo platforms not even Nintendo those idiot know how to lower them prices.
Ubisoft discount offerings on other consoles is amazing too. Bought the whole AC collection from sales. AC-2 trilogy, AC3, AC4 Blackflag to AC Unity/Syndicate for just $40 then they also bundled AC Origin + AC Odyssey ultimate edition for just $30. I only played AC2 lol but 9 games for just $70? Yes check out.
@sketchturner interesting, I love Legends and I bought a copy of Origins for Wii a while back for collectors sake but never tried it. Why do you think is better?
Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle is on sale?!?
Really?!?
That never happens! Better snap it up or it won’t go on Sale again until at least another 2 weeks!
Mario+Rabbids and Starlink are tempting...
@Balta666 Origins feels a lot more cohesive as a game, like you're on a grand adventure. The map progression and themed worlds helps with this. Legends focused SO much on variety that it just feels like random levels slapped together. I liked the bosses and music better in Origins, and the levels were more challenging. This is especially notable if you play the Origins "tricky treasure" levels that are included in Legends. They're much more challenging and satisfying in Origins.
Legends also tends to focus more on wacky ideas than asking if those ideas are fun to play.
Don't get me wrong, I had fun with Legends, but it was very much a one and done. Origins I consider one of the best 2D platformers ever. Legends is nowhere near that for me.
The problem with Rayman Legends imo was the mandatory use of Murfy. I found it annoying having to use him every few seconds to move something to continue on.
@JimmySpades I have about 70 games on my Wish List. Anything that mildly interests me gets added, and I check it pretty much every day for discounts. Almost every game goes on sale at some point ... even the first-party Nintendo games. I think this is the best way to deal-hunt for digital.
Wish the Starlink Star Fox team DLC would go on sale for once. I'll pick it up (along with the actual game) if it ever does, but it never has.
I have most of those games. Many of which picked up in previous games. So I'm ok. I don't know much about the game "Risk" though
@everynowandben Been waiting for it too. The game is in my backlog. Been waiting for the Starfox Team to go on sale before I do. I've been tempted before just to pick it up and be done with it but I always get that nagging feeling that it will go on sale when I do. The Sonic Mania DLC is another one that doesn't go on sale on the Switch. It's been 50% off on other platforms.
@SonOfStayPuft
It has never been this low
Already have:
Just picked up:
Mario+Rabbids was my first Switch game in fact I know this might sound weird but I bought the game before I even owned the system because that game was the thing that convinced me to buy a Switch and after playing it it's definitely worth 60$ so 10$ is a steal.
For those who are veterans of the Mario+Rabbids game - is the "Gold" version superior to the vanilla version?
I know it's only a $4 difference in price, but damnit...I'm a cheap skate. And besides, there are plenty examples of games sold with an "upgraded version" that are... deceiving, to say the least.
I'm just wondering if anyone thinks it's quantitatively better.
Scott Pilgrim perhaps
@Andy_Witmyer Yes, for the Donkey Kong DLC alone.( 7+ hour stand alone campaign). And the weapons provided are a nice little boost when starting out.
What a fantastic price for Mario + Rabbids. Played through the first chapter a while ago and while it's not for me, it was clearly a quality game.
@thefly0810 Thanks!
@Andy_Witmyer You're welcome!
@jamesthemagi Yes. It has. Probably two weeks ago.
Child of Light for $5 is so awesome! Does anybody have Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune? I'm thinking about picking those up...
Mario + Rabbids for $9.99 is an absolute steal. Such a fun tactical game. The opening cut scenes are a little too long (and boring, honestly). But if you stick with it, there’s a lot of fun strategy. Highly recommended.
I had Child of Light on Wii U but barely touched it. At that price I'm tempted to just get it on Switch.
Anyone know if the Assassin's Creed games are worth it at those prices?
Also really wish Ubisoft would bring some of their Tom Clancy games to Switch. What I wouldn't give for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Blacklist and Ghost Recon Future Solider...
I love Child of Light, have played through it 2 times on WiiU and a 3rd time on Switch. Just really like the battle system , it looks great and tells an interesting story as well. Such a steal at 5 bucks.
@dluxxx I have Wheel of Fortune. It is ok. I was playing against AI. Playing as a family would probably be more fun.
My friend had Jeopardy. I think it was multiple choice, which felt weird. Jeopardy is a harder game show to emulate.
@Tandy255 Thanks for the reply that helps out! So weird Jeopardy is multiple choice, I'll pass on that. I play Jeopardy on NES and even that isn't multiple choice lol!
@dluxxx Yeah, I only played it once, but that is what I remember. 😬
