The gaming industry is no stranger to fantastic orchestral concerts, with series like The Legend of Zelda being treated to numerous shows over the past few years, but next month it's the turn of Ace Attorney.
On 10th April, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing a live selection of hits from the series. While you'd usually have to be lucky enough to live in Japan to see a show like this, this time around the whole thing's being streamed online for your viewing pleasure.
International fans can grab a ticket from here for $42. It'll be sent to you via email on the day of the show and lets you access the livestream from the comfort of your own home. While it might seem a little pricey considering you can only watch it on-screen, remember that the whole family will be able to watch for that one price, rather than having to buy several physical seats in a theatre.
The performance will be conducted by Hirofumi Kurita and will also feature special appearances from some of the Japanese games' voice actors. Here's the program (some songs will be chosen via fans on Twitter during the concert):
Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the usual place.

seriously hoping they do a persona concert here and announce the great ace attorney for switch
Not what I expected, but I ain't complaining.
I love the Ace Attorney series, count me in.
Yeah that’s pretty cool, they’ve done some weird Ace Attorney albums over the years too.
Man... I really need to try these games out. I always mean to, then never do.
Love the idea of this. Anything that gets video game music out there more is great. There’s so much good stuff that people don’t know about in terms of soundtracks from games.
I mean, honestly, I probably won't drop $42 (£-equivalent) but it is a cool idea.
@TryToBeHopeful Yeah, same. I love Ace Attorney and I love that they’re doing this, but that’s too expensive.
another ace attorney for switch????//
Definitely not gonna throw an "objection" to this!!! 😉👌
I don't have the money for this so I won't be able to watch, but if this is anything like the 15th anniversary orchestra performances, they are fantastic arrangements and I 100% recommend.
I am thinking we get the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles announcement here (the game was rated recently) and we get SMT 3 release date during that SMT concert.
It's £29.95. If I was something my wife enjoyed, then maybe... but it would be nice if you could keep the broadcast permanently.
praying for any great ace attorney news!!
The Jazz Ace Attorney concert is still a fantastic listen, regardless of it being a video game soundtrack! https://youtu.be/kXEeyajJvwY
Could definitely see that Ace Attorney collection being announced during this.
@KateGray You beat me to it! Love that one.
Have anything game related ever been announced at a concert?
For that kind of money, give me a Blu-ray.
Seems worth it, no need to get airfare and you can watch at home. Most people wouldn't travel just for this even if it wasn't covid-19. I hope we see more of this and maybe some more movie releases.
Objection! That is too darn expensive. But if we got the second trilogy on Switch for that price, I would... TAKE THAT!
Love the orchestrated versions of this series’ music. Might buy a ticket.
@Kanbolara Kingdom Hearts has a habit of getting things announced at its concerts, so it’s certainly not unheard of.
Considering there isn’t much ‘new’ in the way of this concert’s program (and the sheer amount of DGS) it wouldn’t be surprising if it were more publicity focussed for the upcoming port.
I really hope there's an announcement for a new Ace Attorney game. Ace Attorney is my second favorite video game series only behind Donkey Kong.
I really like how they do these type of concerts over there.
