Guess it's hard for Animal Crossing to stay at the top of the charts. Feels like everyone has bought it already!
Ring Fit's sales are strong. Unlike the people who don't use it.
I've actually played Ring Fit almost every day for 12 days. Feels good, I've had to bump up the intensity twice now.
Now I wanna see Smash Bros and Pokemon climb up to 4 million sales in Japan alone. Their respective 3.8 and 3.7 numbers are just teasing my OCD (and Nintendo's shareholders)
Very impressed numbers!!
Let’s go see, the performance of Mario 3D All Stars, next week!
Oof, do those Metal Max sales justify the remake? Love to know if they fixed it, or if they just polished a ...
I have held off of Ring Fit because I seems like I would need a lot of room to play it, room I lack. :/
Cool. This is much more challenging than I thought. Granted I have not worked out since March except on a very light level. But I was pretty exhausted after ten minutes working out on moderate
I wonder if they're producing enough Ring Fits to meet demand yet. I've seen it once in a store since March. Once. I use it 2-3 times a week as a decent in-home workout method, especially since I suffered a knee injury - it has a nice "Knee Assist" option that allows me to get a workout in without hurting it more. Everyone in the family plays it. It's truly paid for itself.
Launch / LTD retail sales of all 3D Mario games:
> Super Mario 64: 162,111 / 1.647 million
> Super Mario Sunshine: 280,610 / 790,000
> Super Mario 64 DS: 120,062 / 1.232 million
> Super Mario Galaxy: 256,341 / 1.026 million
> Super Mario Galaxy 2: 337,569 / 1.047 million
> Super Mario 3D Land: 344,698 / 2.112 million
> Super Mario 3D World: 106,967 / 602,234
> Super Mario Odyssey: 512,000 / 2.120 million
> Super Mario 3D All-Stars: ???
3D All-Stars' retail launch sales may be constrained by supply, but initial demand is high. It's also looking like Nintendo has shipped a ton of Switch hardware alongside the launch of the game, so expect a big hardware sales boost
@mjharper I saw it at Walmart in late June. Was not sure if I should pick it up, so I thought about it till the afternoon and all five were gone. About a month later, I came across it again and picked it up. It has been available since the beginning of the month.
Ring Fit Adventure is about 3 or 4 weeks away from outselling Breath of the Wild at retail, despite being supply constrained.
Unless Nintendo is unable to supply enough units for the holidays, Ring Fit Adventure will sell 2 million units by the end of the year.
Got the game 2 days ago. Ordered in March. Worth the wait!
I mean Ring Fit only started outselling Animal Crossing only after it sold 5mil+ copies.
Still impressive though considering Ring Fit has always been consistently in the top 5 in Japanese charts.
There’s still massive pent-up demand for this game in Japan which hasn’t been realised due to ongoing stock shortages. Judging by the increased sales figures (and the fact I was actually able to win a lottery on the official store), it seems the production is increasing, but it’s still impossible to find at RRP on Japanese Amazon (and has been for over 6 months), or any other online retailer I know.
Still the fact that Animal Crossing has seen no such production issues and still constitutes to sell this well after already having sold so much is also impressive.
I get that PS4 console sales are so low because the PS5 is coming...but when did the XBox start selling so many consoles in Japan? Is it because people are bored while waiting for the PS5 to come out?
Worth noting a few things. Firstly these are physical sales not digital so it's not the full picture. Especially when Ring Fit Adventure is a physical only release so even in usual times it would be boosted on these charts.
Given the style of game Animal Crossing is, the relatively small download size and that it's included in the voucher program? I think it's probably a reasonable guess that Animal Crossing is download more than most titles.
But probably most critically, these are not usual times. Based on Nintendo's last report digital sales were just a tad over 50% of their software sales in the last quarter. So I would expect Animal Crossing to be doing a fair bit better than this chart is saying.
With that said, love both titles and am 30 days into Ring Fit
Good, Ring Fit Adventure is the better game
