Kalypso Media and developer Palindrome Interactive have today announced that Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars will be headed to Switch this August. You'll be able to sink your teeth into it from the 28th of the month.
We first heard about this one just before last year's E3; the game's fusion of turn-based vampiric combat and empire management had us intrigued even then, but a newly-shared developer featurette video (see above) has us excited to check the game out ourselves.
It's said to offer a "challenging game experience", all set within a dark, mythical world. Here's a feature list to tell you a little more:
Features:
The truth unfolds: Discover the secrets of Nemire, and experience an enthralling story spanning across 12 meticulously crafted missions and four unique environments, from the perspective of four mighty vampire lords, each with their own goals and agendas.Discover the bloodlines: Command one of three unique vampire clans with distinctive units, powers, gameplay mechanics and characters. Play as the bloodthirsty Dracul, the ancient Nosfernus or the mystical Moroia
Vampiric powers: Powerful spells and abilities enhance the gameplay and provide a refreshing take on the genre. Each clan and vampire lord has access to their own set of abilities, which can be synergized into powerful combinations.
Strategy & tactics: Command legendary armies, recruit new units and unlock crucial technologies in the strategic Kingdom mode, and put tactical skills to the test in the action-packed Combat mode.
Varied content: Choose from three different gameplay modes: the story-driven Campaign, the open-world Sandbox, and the hard-fought Skirmish.

Looks like an interesting mix of genres. I'm a sucker for vampiric-themed entertainment, so I preordered a physical copy without hesitation.
No Huntdown review yet...I hope that is not a bad sign.

Random comment. But I'm in the same boat as you.
Hadn't heard of this but it looks good, there aren't enough vampire games.

What's a huntdown review?
Sorta reminds me of Heroes of Might and Magic. Those games were great, hopefully this one will be as well.
@Gaymer90 I agree. This gives me strong HOMM vibes, which is a great thing! Another similar game coming out soon is Brigandine, which has a demo that is fairly decent.
I'll be keeping an eye on this!
@Tstar Just a review of the game "Huntdown"
I'll be keeping an eye on this one. Love me some TBS
Sounds cool! Might give this a go.
