Original Article (Wed 4th Mar, 2020 13:35 GMT): It was only a few weeks ago that Capcom hosted a library-wide sale on the Switch eShop, but it's back with a very welcome Mega Man-specific sale across both Europe and North America.

Great!
Already own them.
I haven't actually beaten very many Mega Man games, which is weird, since I own 11 and the OG and X collections
I really need to get back to them sometime
A bit too soon for the z/zx collection but I do want it.
Got all the legacy collections already and have no interest whatsoever in 11. Just beat X4 for the first time a few days ago, I thought it was pretty fun.
By far my favorite video game series of all time. If you lack any of these games, pick them up!
Got Legacy 1 on 3DS and didn't really get on with it, but is X Legacy different enough to be worth a punt?
Is 11 really that much more expensive in the UK?
But I just bought the zero collection...my poor wallet
I'm starting to entertain the idea of getting the "Rockman box" with ALL games -bar the Zero/ZX ones- in carts on Amazon Japan. No digital, all physical. If I can't, then I'll continue getting them for Xbox One, where I got the first two collections for small change.
@NickOfTime90 That's what I was wondering. The page for it on this site says it's £24.99, and that should be the usual price, not the sale price, so I think it's just a mistake in this article @ryancraddock
@Dogorilla @NickOfTime90 Yep, that was just a mistake - sorry!
We've fixed that now, thanks for letting me know 🙂
Never Played any of the Mega Man series but i know they are loved by many. Any recommendations on what to go with to see how i find it?
Thanks for letting us know, but these have been the standard sale prices every time they go on sale, which is quite often. Trust me, I know. They keep reducing Legacy Collection by 33% to match the $9.99 price of the other titles, when on PS4 I believe it's gone somewhere around $4.00 or $5.00. I am biding my time until it's that low on Switch.
They always are. Capcom has constant sales.
Is legacy X 2 really worth it? It's the only one I still need to buy.
@T7Hokage017 Cheers mate thats helped out a lot.
Already own the X & Z collections physically but bought the X games digitally last time on sale for easy access. Never liked the Classic Series as much though.
This would be great...if I didn't own them all. 😂
There aren't many series with Mega Man's consistency of quality across so many games. The classic series only briefly gets mediocre with Mega Man 8 (and I've heard Mega Man and Bass as well) before jumping right back up in quality though none of the games are bad in my opinion. The X series is only bad with X6 and X7 I would argue. And X6 has a good game somewhere, it's just buried beneath a lot of frustrating design. The Zero and ZX series have no bad games in my opinion.
@JoeM103 I say go with the classic series first. It's a great introduction to what Mega Man is all about, and it's my personal favorite of all the Mega Man series. So maybe try Legacy Collection 1 and 2. Legacy Collection 1 has a lot of nice user friendliness features that unfortunately didn't make it into Legacy Collection 2 such as being able to make save states anywhere and even being able to rewind the game in real time should you make a mistake (extremely tempting to use when you mess up unfortunately...). Mega Man 2, 3, and 4 are in my opinion the best of the games in Collection 1. 5 and 6 are fun but a bit too easy perhaps, and the robot master weapons in 5 are kinda bad. 1 is the original, and it's probably the hardest. It's also easy to tell it's the first one since a lot of things are different from all the other games like only having 6 robot masters as opposed to 8.
On Collection 2, Mega Man 9 and 10 are fantastic recreations of 8 bit Mega Man. Definitely try those. Mega Man 11 seems good too, but I haven't actually played much of it yet. It's its own separate game though and not part of a collection yet.
Then try the X, Zero, and ZX series in that order. I might skip X6 and X7 if I were you though...
I am very tempted in picking them all up up that is around €55. May just go for the legacy collection.
Got them all already
Ooh mega man 11!
Played it at my brothers house but didnt own it myself yet. So will het it later.
They put these games on sale like twice a month. Which is precisely why I haven't bought the Zero Collection yet. Might as well wait for the inevitable 50% off sale that's in affect 50% of the time.
Still too much IMO. I feel like some games are purposely overpriced so that people rush getting them when they are on sale. Which means often.
As others have pointed out, annoying that these games with a discount cost the same as the ordinary price on other consoles. I’d buy them on one of the others, but I’d prefer using one of my 8bitdo controlllers when playing them.
See? this is why i'm waiting for MMZ collection!! this right here!! lol
I was thinking of picking up Mega Man 11 guess there is no better reason then now!
ten bucks is still too much
Why are ten bucks for a couple of games too much. I love Mega Man games and I am still willing to pay 50 € for each game. Received my imported copy of the zx collection today, which is more expensive than digital. I also bought the re release of Mega Man 2 for over 100 bucks on the blue NES even though I still have the original Nes cartridge and the collection as well as Mega Man 2 on the mini. Mega Man is my favorite game series.
Always on sale. Which is why I haven’t bought the new one yet!
I really wish Capcom would have put both segments from both Legacy Collections onto 1, or 2 physical carts sold as 1 title. I might still get both collections somewhere down the line, but this practice is discouraging me from even bothering. I don't like spending a lot of money only on digital. Ah well, more important things in life, than games...
@RPGamer: Yes, as it is only on the Switch e-Shop. Maybe on other platforms, it is on sale, too. This is for the e-Shop.
@jobvd X5 is top notch. The others are not (though X8 is OK). Depends on whether one great game and a complete collection are worth it to you.
@T7Hokage017 Pretty sure Legends is actually a continuation of MM through MMZX.
I don't have Legacy Collection 2 or X Collection 2 but will get around to them later.
@JoeM103
Try:
Mega Man 3
Mega Man X1 and
Mega Man X4
If you don’t like any of these, you won’t like the rest.
@Lordd_G Mega man 3? How come? Not being a d*ck, it's just that Imo, that's the one I like the least
@Kalmaro Your wallet may be poor, but your entertainment value will be rich!... Also, remember your Cyber Fairies when playing the Z series. I don't know if they're still in ZX because I've never played that series specifically.
@Reigestugatensho I would use them but doing so tanks your rating for that level.
Yes ,you are rated on levels. ZX doesn't have ratings, I think.
@Doofenshmirtz
Mega Man 3 is longest one, introduced Rush and Proto Man, has best themed levels IMO and also the Doc Robot versions of the MM2 bosses. It’s also the first Mega Man game I ever played, so it’s my personal fave but you could easily substitute it with MM2.
Good thing I didn't buy the Mega Man/X collection physical. There's no point in getting them physical if the other part is a download. I'll take advantage of this sale. I just recently bought 11 and Z/ZX collection and thank goodness they're not a download code.
I would normally be inclined to grab 1 game in a sale, but i just got zx collection, so I'll wait for the next one.
@Lordd_G Ahhh, ok that makes sense, thanks for the answer mate
I bought every single Mega Man game on Switch on Launch Day.
Well, I already own all these. But very nice for others to give them a try. I still gotta get around to adding ZX collection. And I hope Capcom
Considers a Battle Network collection.
@TYRANACLES it's worth the full price physically I think
@Giygas_95 nice one that's great thanks
Are they going to close down the Eshop😅😅😅😅😅😅😅? All these sales are weird.
@Kalmaro I remember ratings! I was stuck in Zero 2 in this jungle area: It had this giant pit with No Platforms. It required you to Jump and Spam your Dash in order to find the neighboring wall and wall jump to pass over... Many a game was ruined to this... So I used an Infinite Cyber Fairy that let me fly out of pits. It solved that problem right away! My favorite thing about the Z series was that you didn't get new abilities (He wasn't built like that) instead he gets sleek new outfits! There's a yellow and red one that's to die for.
@Dirty0814 Teah I went ahead and bought it, great value in this one.
Im having doubts to buy Final fantasy X /X2 HD remaster. Its 25€ now.
I’ve got all the ones I want on me NES and SNES minis and my GameBoy. 😎
Get the ZX collection, more bang for your buck, that sale is not cheap enough imo.
